The atmospere at Woodhouse Day Spa was so relaxing and soothing. Everyone was extremely nice and I felt like a princess the way I was being pampered. I had a facial and the woman treating me knew exactly what she was doing. Overall it was an awesome experience. I will be going back very soon! more

I recently went to The Woodhouse Day Spa for the first time and it was an amazing experience. I immediately felt welcomed and the concierge explained everything I would need to do as a new guest and showed me to the pretty locker room where she gave me a soft robe and sandals.While waiting for my massage therapist, the concierge made me this delicious cinnamon tea that I actually ended up buying before I left. It is now my new favorite tea! When my massage therapist, Mason, came to get me he was very nice and talked to me about which areas I really wanted him to focus on during the massage. The music was very calming in the room and from the moment the massage started, I felt the stress in my back start going away. I had the 80 min. Swedish Massage and I would highly recommend it to anyone debating on which service to have done at the spa. Before I left Mason recommended some great products. I purchased the Still Point Inducer which is awesome and I got the cinnamon tea that I enjoyed so much while waiting for my massage to begin. Going to The Woodhouse was a wonderful experience, and there is no doubt that I will always choose The Woodhouse over any other Austin spa in the future. It is no mystery why they were named Best Spa in 2010 by Citysearch! more

The Woodhouse Day Spa just always goes the extra mile with their products and Spa Services.The Woodhouse Day Spa took their time when designing their facials and it shows!!! The Woodhouse Day Spa is the best Spa in Austin, and the best Spa I have ever been to in my life. The 80 minute Deep Tissue Massage I received from Massage Therapist Morgan, was most definitely the best massage I have ever had. From the moment you walk into The Woodhouse Day Spa, you are transported into a relaxing, sultan like dream. In the Spa, the fragrance of fresh linens and sage fills the air, while the soft sounds of running water and soothing music cradles your mind, allowing it to fall deeper and deeper into a trans like comfort:) The bath house facilities in the Spa are second to none and have all the amenities you would expect from the best spa in Austin. the Spa robes and Spa shoes are fit for royalty. Once in the massage bed, Morgan made me feel comfortable as she massaged out all the stresses of my job and busy life. I would recommend the 80 minute deep tissue massage at a minimum because the massage feels so good that you never want to leave the Spa! After she finished, I was able to take my time and enjoy the spa for as long as I wanted. I was offered hot cinnamon tea (yummy) and refreshments as well as snacks. The best part about the Woodhouse Day Spa was that I never felt rushed. That really made the difference. Having been in real discomfort for some time, I needed some serious deep tissue massage...someone who wasn't afraid to dig in and go after it...fluff massage just wasn't going to cut it. Ms Kris at the Woodhouse was a godsend! She worked on me for 80 straight minutes using her intuitive hands to go right to the problem areas and work out some heavy duty kinks with strength and gentleness both. When I left there I felt like a new woman. more

The first thing you notice when you walk into The Woodhouse Day Spa in Austin is the smell. It is pure heaven. I have no idea what they use in there to make it smell so good, but it is wonderful. Then you get to go to the beautiful and luxurious dressing rooms where they give you ample space to put your stuff in a locker and it is always, for some reason, very quiet and not crowded even when it is busy. I feel very comfortable in there. Love their cucumber water! Then, you go out to the lovely waiting area where you can chill out and contemplate while having some tea. NOTE: sometimes you do have to track someone down for this. Finally, you get called to your service. The massages and facials I've had here are WONDERFUL. Just amazing. I can't wait to try more of the services here. And they often have great deals if you sign up with them on Facebook or on email. I was a little skeptical about this place at first (since it is a ""chain"") but it does not feel that way at all. The staff is wonderful and you get the BEST treatment and experience all the way. I love this place!!! And I am a spa-addict, who really can't afford to go often, but when I do, it's to Woodhouse. I've tried many other spas in Austin, and none have compared to Woodhouse. more

I travel over an hour to get to this spa. It has the most relaxing atmosphere, friendliest staff, and the best facials-I've had three out of four with Cheryl-she's my favorite. This spa is located in a strip center off the 360 - leading one to suspect it may not be the most relaxing of places. However, you quickly realize upon entering that you are in quite another place. The rooms are quiet, peaceful and extremely relaxing. The staff is professional, friendly and speaks in whispers to keep the mood at the most refreshing of levels. You will leave feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Highly recommend trying them out! more

Their service is impeccable; their staff is not only skilled, but calming. Since my son gave me a gift card for my first visit, I make my next appointment before I leave each month, just as I do with my hair stylist! The facility is great -- inducing a relaxed, perfumed state from the moment I rush in from the heat. The smiling, thoughtful staff makes the stay a pleasant oasis from the daily grind so I leave refreshed, relaxed, and renewed. My compliments to Nita -- excellent, invigorating yet relaxing massage; to Leslie, whose pedicure was very thorough and left my unattractive size 9 feet looking soft and lovely; and to Cathy, whose manicure left my hands and nails in perfect shape. Seeing that same group every month would be perfect. These few hours spent relinquishing control while Woodhouse attends to the details has become a highlight of my month. The atmosphere of this spa is excellent. Peaceful, they greet you with nice tea. The people are also very nice. However, I was not thrilled with their special facial. I specifically stated that I am sensitive to frangrances and wrote that on my checkin stuff. I told the facialist about my sensitivities and she said they only used a little bit of the oils in their products, I usually only use frangrance free if I can. I had blotchy spots the next day and my chin is peeling. The problem is that they have specific rituals that they follow, do not deviate from them and they love aromatherapy. Great for them, not great for those of us with sensitivities to perfumes - even when they are ""essential oils"". Pros: Really nice people at the desk, beautiful place. more

I just had a pedicure with Shanie, and I recommend her wholeheartedly. She was considerate and professional, and gave me a divine foot and leg massage. I told her my feet were extra sensitive, and she took a lot of care not to be too rough with the pumice or instruments. The whole experience was relaxing and fun, and now my feet look and feel rejuvenated. more
