New Ownership....not good. 10/14/2008

I had ordered a dress October of 2006, expecting it to arrive in January of 2007. I had to keep calling to check on the status. Finally after 3 days, they told me they didn't have it, and were never able to order it!! They did not bother to call me within the 3 months I had ordered to let me know this. I finally got my money back, and lukily found the dress online (and at a cheaper price) more

EXTREMLY UNHAPPY WITH NEW OWNERSHIP!!! 12/29/2006

Very unhappy with Bridal Expressions (The Wedding Station)... They are trying to double charge a friend of mine for her wedding dress she paid for under the old management. Yesterday we went in to get the dress and they told her that she did not pay THEM but paid the old owners and they would not give her the dress. Now today they have told her that some of their inventory was stolen and that the dress is no longer there. This is a very disturbing thing. more

It was great to meet one of the new owners of the shop. Toni is a wonderful, helpful person. I am the owner of Shakopee Florist and look forward to working with the girls. They have great ideas and are truly there for every bride. They understand what "service" means. Something that has been lost in so many shops. They will go that extra mile. Wedding Station Ownership Change AWESOME 10/2/2006

The Wedding Station was terrible, we had nothing but trouble with the old owner. She ordered dresses from company's where she did not have a valid account, was dishonest about delivery dates, voicemail was always full, never answered calls (had to block our caller id to get her to take our calls). Since then, Antoinette at Bridal Expressions (new shop name) has been just AWESOME. Thank you Antoinette for saving the sanity of this second wedding we are prepping this year! We would come back to you anytime! more

I had been waiting for my dress to come in since April 2006! I had the same issues as everyone else...no one answering phone calls or replying to messages. I finally got a call on September 27, 2006 that my dress was in and she was the new owner! She wanted me to come in right away and she was very pleasant! I am going there on the 30th to get my dress. I hope she is there! I'll keep you posted! more

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM WEDDING STATION 9/9/2006

After a 3-1/2 hour drive from Northern Minnesota to the Wedding Station to check on my daughter's dress order I find a sign on the door saying someone will return in 45 mintues. I wait, because you cannot call these people. No one answers their phones during normal business hours and their answering machine is always full and when you actually do get to talk to the owners help all she does is say owner will call you back, which never happens. My daughter ordered a dress from them in July, paying in cash as she could get $100 discount by doing so. After their non responsiveness to phone messages, I decided I needed to make sure the dress was actually ordered. I did try calling the manufacturer directly however they informed me they only deal with the shop. Thus the trip to Shakopee to obtain a confirmation number, slip, anything showing dress was ordered. While I was waiting for someone to show up at the store (during normal business hours) I had an opportunity to talk with several other girls wanting to get into the shop also. Here are my findings: Girl #1. She was there to pick up a veil which she talked to the owner about picking up at 3:00 the previous evening. She was leaving the next day which was Friday for her wedding on Saturday on Coco Beach. She had same problem as I did and was glad she was going to be done with them after she picked up her veil. Owner returns and guess what - no veil. Owner has to run out SOMEWHERE and pick it up. Girl #1 has to make another trip back to pick up veil after waiting 45 mintues for shop to open to get veil and finding it still isn't there along with having a million other things to do before leaving for wedding next day. Girl #2 There to pick up wedding dress that was being altered and wedding was Saturday. Dress was so tight in bust she couldn't breathe. Her comment was she wasn't going to be able to eat a thing between Thursday and Saturday just so she could take a breath. Girl #3. There to check on her dress, which was suppose to be in store in July. Not here yet and her wedding is next month. After hearing these stories along with a similar one from a friend who is doing alterations for me on my dress, I decide I am not leaving until I have my money refunded. Owner did agree to refund my money because I threathened to sit in front of her store handing out the comments from this web page and thus she would not be selling any dresses. She issued me a check, but again guess what. No funds in account. On my way to bank to cash I decided I better get on the phone to make sure the check was good, it wasn't. I then returned to the store and wasn't leaving until I had CASH, which I did ultimately obtain. I feel sorry for anyone having dresses on order with this shop and can only hope they arrive before there is a out of business sign on her front door. more

The Wedding Station in Shakopee is a nightmare! 9/6/2006

Dresses needed to be totally redone, they NEVER answer their phone or check their voicemail, hours are shifty, they are nonresponsive and they act like you are a pain in their side for making them just do their job! Save yourself a few horror stories and go someplace--anyplace--else! more

Don't trust them 8/18/2005

I have not yet gotten married, but when I do, I will not be entrusting my big day to this place. A good friend of mine ordered all of her dresses through this shop. She was told at David's Bridal that the dresses she wanted weren't available in the sizes she needed, so when she went to this shop, and was told they could get the same dresses in the correct sizes, she was thrilled! The flower girl dresses were taking much longer than expected, and she was starting to get nervous. Just one and a half weeks before the wedding, she got a call that they couldn't get the dresses she had ordered. She then picked out other dresses (that she didn't want), and those didn't arrive until 5 days before the wedding. The people in this shop definately didn't communicate very well, which can be a big problem for a stressed out bride! more

Do NOT go to THE WEDDING STATION 8/11/2005

I want to warn people about The Wedding Station bridal shop in Shakopee, MN. They do NOT pride themselves on customer service, on time delivery, or accuracy. None of the bridesmaids dresses I ordered for my wedding, came in the correct size. Luckily 3 will work, but 1 needed to be reordered 4 sizes bigger. The bridal shop did not call to let me know that my bridal gown was in, and I only found out because I was in the shop picking up bridesmaid dresses. Sometimes the only way I got to talk to someone was to go into the store, since they hardly ever answer the phones. Call back phone calls and requests for faxes and information were completely ignored. This shop has created much unneeded stress in my wedding planning. more
