The food was just average. I do not recommend this business to friends.

Great Food Lousy Service! 4/24/2012

If you don't mind waiting over an hour for your food then you will like this place...Our group of five made reservations and we did get a table at the desired time, but the service was horrible! The waiter didn't 't even come to take our drink order for fifteen minutes. Then another 10 minutes for the bread with no butter because the waiter accidentally dropped it on the floor and we didn't get any butter until after the bread was gone! I asked to speak with the manager and the hostess was very rude. Manager finally got around to coming to our table and after I politely explained everything, HE got rude as well! I would be very hesitant to go back again. more

RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! 6/2/2011

First...the parking sucks! Had a carry out order and walked into the place and was greeted by 2 very rude people. I had to ask for my order and then I didn't even get a ""thank you."" The food has went down hill too. I won't be back!! I will go to Cincinnati if I want Spaghetti Factory!! The restaurant in Louisville needs to give their employees some classes on being friendly......CLOWNS!!!!! more

Great Everything 3/27/2011

My boyfriend was hesitant about this place because he doesn't especially like spaghetti, and when we arrived, the wait was 30-45 minutes. We were about to walk out when the hostess said that if we went upstairs and found a table we could seat immediately. Well, we found a table right off. First suggestion, if you don't want to wait, go upstairs. The atmosphere is just as nice and you get to eat right away. Our waiter, Cory, was fabulous. Very friendly and courteous. The food was AWESOME!! I had the Jumbo Crab Ravioli with Alfredo Sauce. The pasta was fresh and the filling was fabulous. The Alfredo was creamy and cheesy and perfect. The price was right and my boyfriend really liked the spaghetti and his spinach ravioli. I would suggest this restaurant to anyone. more

Food is terrible 12/21/2010

Great location and cute lamps, but the bottom line is the food is terrible. I've been several times and tried different menu items each time and have not been impressed once with the food. I would never go to OSF by choice. more

One of Louisville's Bargains 11/22/2010

There must be reviewers on here with personal axes to grind who trash this establishment. The food is good, the atmosphere is pretty and fun, the prices are cheap. The only problem is that they don't take reservations and the wait for a table will make you rush to get to the strat of the play up the street. Louisville has some great bargain places among the many overpriced places, and the OSF is a gem. more

STAY AWAY 5/17/2010

Would never reccommend this place. Pros: None that I see Cons: Poor Service & Poor Management more

Previous posters are insane! 4/29/2010

I have yet to experience anything negative about this restaurant, aside fromthem not having a lunch service throughout the week. Pros: Beautiflly authentic venue, DELICIOUS food! Cons: Don't have a lunch service during the week. more

2 hours of horrible service 1/26/2010

Our party of 5 arrived at 4:30 and it took almost an hour to get our food. I had the spinach and cheese ravioli which was not fully cooked because the edges were still hard from being frozen. Definately NOT fresh pasta. more

Below average food, service and someone stole my glasses 11/25/2009

After a birthday dinner in a cramped trolley booth, I left my eye glasses on the back of the table. The next day, no glasses. I truly believe a busser or other staff member stole them once they saw they were designer glasses. I had heard it was not such a great place and I will never return or recommend to anyone. Apparently a staff of young managers also didn't help matters. more

Chef Boyardee is better 10/5/2009

Server placed his finger in my glass, brought the wrong drink order, forgot the meatballs, never checked back with us except to bring food, and the sauce was bland. I have had better spaghetti from a can. We have visited many other locations of this chain and never been disappointed. This restaurant was an embarrassment to the name. Pros: bread Cons: taste was pitiful more

slow, poor service 6/22/2009

worst service I've received in recent memory. Slow. Impolite. Food mediocre. Spent over 20 minutes waiting for desert, and at least that much waiting to order, and then waiting for the entree. Very disappointed. No apologies from server. Pros: building is nice Cons: service slow, poor more

Really bad pasta 5/28/2009

First off, I remember the original, beatnik North Beach Old Spaghetti Factory in San Francisco. This place is not by any stretch of the imagination anything close to the original. Second, I AM from San Francisco, so probably several strikes against my opinion from the get-go. But I do recognize good food and I do recognize poor service. I told my server first thing that I needed to be out of the restaurant by such-and-such time. He assured me ""No Problem!"" I waited and waited and waited for the pasta to arrive. I was thinking, ""Well, if they're preparing to order, it's worth it."" Silly me. What I got was a bowl of mushy noodles, over dressed with gloppy, canned-tasting sauce. Even though I was hungry, I just COULD NOT EAT IT! Then I waited and waited to catch my server's eye, then ANYONE's eye, so I could pay my bill and get back to work on time. I came thisclose to just walking out. It is not my practice to write bad things about restaurants. I usually can find something good - but this place sucked on so many levels. If your idea of good food is stuff you find in the food court at the mall, you might like this place. Pros: cute decor, lots of iced tea Cons: mushy pasta, slow service more

Alot of food for a good price. 6/27/2008

I was amazed at how much food we got for the amount of money spent. Usually good italian restaurants cost you an arm and a leg, and you only get salad and an entree. The atomsphere was great and parking was convient for it being downtown. Pros: Alot of food for resonable price Cons: Long wait if you dont have reservations more

Wallows in Mediocrity 4/25/2007

The Old Spaghetti Factory is a chain restaurant that tries to play itself off as something unique and quirky. It's good for what it is--a place to take a big group or a family out for a moderately price meal. The service is attentive, and the food is tasty, although nothing special. Very child friendly and also has a full bar. All in all, not bad, but not ""good"" either. Pros: Family friendly, decently priced Cons: Parking more

Great Value 10/25/2006

You get a lot for your money at the Spaghetti Factory. Meals include bread, soup or salad, entree, ice cream, and coffee, tea, or milk. The Spaghetti with Browned Butter and Mizithra Cheese is always my favorite. You can't beat their Spumoni ice cream - although most people aren't very open to the idea of trying it. It will be noisy and you will have to wait, but the old factory setting does have character. more

Unique Place to Eat 2/24/2004

I've been there only a few times and when I've been there it hasn't been very busy and would get a seat right away. I like the mixed-matched old chairs though some could be retired. The meals are good when getting a salad, pasta, and then ice cream for dessert. I enjoy going there. Pros: Unique Atmosphere, Food, Building more

You're kidding me, right? 2/13/2003

The Spag Factory for lovers? NO! The Spaghetti Factory is a place to take 10-20 screaming children to feed them cheaply. The ederly also frequent the establishment because it's cheap. If you're looking for a nice quiet get-a-way with your loved one, forget The Spaghetti Factory. Pros: trolley car Cons: screaming children more

Seedy 1/2/2003

The last time I was in the Old Spaghetti Factory, I was very disappointed. The service was good, but the tables and ashtrays were dirty and the food was average at best. It's a great place for a great restaurant! The Old Spaghetti Factory is not that restaurant. Pros: Great old building, Location after a show Cons: Dirty, Poor service, Price more

average 12/31/2002

The food was just average. I do not recommend this business to friends. more

great food but can i get seated? 11/15/2002

i love going to eat here. the trouble has always been waiting for a table. service is great. i think they should expand. it would save on waiting time and make them more money. Pros: taste, comfort, price Cons: crowded more
