WORST!! DON'T GO!!! 8/19/2010

I want to preface that I don't believe that this sh*tty excuse for a live music venue deserves even ONE star! I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. First of all, James Breedwell, who was running the show, is an extreme creeper. He goes around taking tips for "the band" but keeps all the tips for himself. Very sleazy. He invaded my personal space, his breath was horrid and his obtrusive sweating made me sick. I didn't even want to get a drink from the bar to give this place any of my business. I went for a writer's round and the show was running more than an hour late. The guy "running" the show made sure he got to sing between every set, even though they were so far behind. And he was absolutely horrible! It was like listening to cats in heat. Very disturbing. I had the worst time ever, that all I wanted to do was go off on the guy and boo him off the stage. And I am not a mean person! I will NEVER go to this place again and if I were you, I would stay as far away from this establishment as you can. There are plenty of live music venues in Nashville that offer amazing artists and the people running the show are not sketchy creepers just trying to make money off of other people. Oh and to top it off the guy wouldn't even let the musicians sell their Cd's! He even reprimanded them for plugging their merch! But then he would get up there and plug himself. Sick!! I will make sure to tell everyone I know to steer clear of this place. more

BEST ENTERTAINMENT -TRIPLE SHOT 4/9/2008

This is my first message and it was my first time at the Palace. The pizza was great and so were the drinks. But the entertainment called "Triple Shot" was outstanding. I was so jazzed. Everyone seemed amazed at the talent of the girl's voice and the two guys. They all were great entertainers. They made you feel a part of them and kept you entertained. I will be surprised if they aren't the next Country Awards best new artists. They are fun to watch and great to listen to. Their original songs should be on the radio. I for one would buy their CD. The facility was welcoming. I will definitely be back. Pros: The entertainment - Triple Shot Cons: Food is a little pricey more

Palace? I think I was in the dungeon with the other prisoners of the "palace". 1/17/2008

I went to Nashville Palace the other night because I was just out exploring. (I live in Nashville) This service was terrible! I am amazed they stay in business. Four of us came in and sat down on the patio and it took 15 minutes for the server to come get our drink order. Mind you that there is only two other *small* groups there. She walks over and just kinda says, "Sorry". She took our drink order and told us she'd bring us menus. When we finally received our drinks and she forgot the menus. She was a terrible server. The band that was playing was awful. The food was just okay. I will warn you about this: No matter how big your group is, they charge you 18% gratituty. YES! It says it on the menu. So I did not leave this server a tip at all, since they already added it in. No wonder she wasn't a good server! Why work hard to get tips, when its automatically figured into each bill anyway?? I would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone. I just hope the poor tourists don't get sucked into this place since its close to Opry Mills. Pros: Parking Cons: Everything else more

Bad service, high prices, rude staff, loud bands...AVOID ANY NIGHT!!! 4/8/2007

Decided to give this tourist trap a try this past Saturday night, but should've gone somewhere else. Upon entering to a $5 dollar cover charge, there were two rooms to choose from: the small front bar and the large room. Went to the larger room where a band was playing. The band was obviously good, but the sound was AWFUL and way too loud. Turned back to go to the front bar where that band was just starting...Not much better...the drummer was so loud, it was actually drowning out the other two guys on stage. Ok we thought, lets just go back to the big room and sit towards the back. Got a booth and waited, and waited, and waited, but no service. Finally I went up to order drinks and tell the bartender we had been sitting there...no "I'm Sorry" or anything...just a "Well, what do you want?!?!?" Went ahead and order drinks since my friends were already settled in to a booth...GOOD LAWD!!!! $10 for a shot and a beer. I expect that down in the tourist bars of downtown, but this out of the way joint. And the place barely had 25 or 30 people in this large room that could easily hold 500-600+...on a Saturday night. Well, needless to say, we had one round and then got the hell outta there. And we will not be back. If you are looking for a place to feel welcome at and hear a band in a decent setting, please look somewhere else cause it sure ain't here!!! Pros: Clean bathrooms Cons: See Subject line for this!!! more

Not recomended at all! 1/1/2007

I attended their New Years Eve party and it was a rip off. The food was nasty. The headliner Chris Young performed for 42 minutes after he was 2 1/2 hours late. The couple sitting at the next table next to us paid $52.00 for the couple. They charged us $170 per couple. They had everything exactly the same. Favers, champagne and gross food. The food was chicken, cold ribs, pintoi beans, mashed potatoes (no gravy or butter), pulled Bar-b-q & Hamburger buns. Mostly unetaable. My husband talked to the manager who just sneered at us. We heard several other couples complaining as well. We met a man the next day and talked about it and he said everyone knows the Palace is a big rip-off. Would not recomend this to anyone. Pros: house band Cons: total rip-off more

great place for all 3/8/2006

i have to say that the nashville palace is one of the best places in nashville to go for live entertainment and great southern hospitality! i should know i used to work there and i enjoyed every minute of it. where else can you go and meet your neighbor or a whole tourist bus full of people from england? or see a live band that has worked with so many stars. or in fact get up with the band themselves and sing your heart out? yes it's a little expensive but look at what you get. go, enjoy, have fun! Pros: live band, great southern food, ambience Cons: things are a little s, very noisy at times more

  • In Short
A house band performs nightly, playing good-time country standards and imploring the crowd to sing and dance along. The walls of the cavernous main dining area are plastered with the requisite gold records, autographed photos and murals of popular country stars. A small lounge has bumper pool and a big-screen TV. Palace specialties like prime rib and Southern-style catfish come with ample portions of salad or soup, and baked potato or fries on the side.
