Best

I love this hotel. Right when you walk into the lobby, you're swept with the feeling for grandeur and romance. There's gold everywhere (I think i'm just particular to gold), and t...

Great atmosphere and service. The Lobster Bisque was outstanding but the steak was not good at all cooked very well done when I asked for medium and it had a Whole lot of pepper ...

Absolutely the best food and food experience 4/25/2006

I have been there twice, and each time was heaven, the steak is the best I have ever had by a large margin. I want to qualify that statement by saying that I am a food snob that almost always cooks gourmet at home. I have been to Rush's Chris, Peter Luger and many more and this restaurant does it better then any of them. The sides are tremendous and the service is top notch. I would like to note that I have had the ""grass feed"" steak, and it was not that great. I would highly recommend the porter house, rare. If you are getting your steak anything higher then medium I would recommend you do not submit a comment. Pros: food, service more

steak is amazing, the vegetables even better! 1/4/2006

I have eaten at Craftsteak 2x, and both were excellent experiences. The service and the steak are equally terrific, however, I would write home about the vegetables. Fresh and prepared with originality! I would go there again gladly anytime! more

Party here! 11/28/2005

Great club inside the MGM Grand hotel. Lots of disco and dance music. Lines always form at the door, so arrive early or leave time or plan to wait! Dark, club-like atmosphere. Right off the casino floor in the MGM grand hotel. Drinks are expensive, but no more than at any other Vegas night spot. Great place to dance the night away. more

Excellent night club on the Vegas strip 11/17/2005

Heading to Las Vegas? Don't miss out on Studio 54. Party the night away in the old Studio 54 style, with disco balls on the ceiling and retro music. Lots of drinks and dancing. Always a line at the door. Hard to describe the inside...it's a dark night club with flashing strobe lights. On the smaller side, so make sure you plan to wait in line. They check out who they allow in to party at the door! It's a blast!!! more

Make sure to check special promotions if your staying at MGM. We received a $35.00 credit for dinner at Craftsteak. Make reservations in advance and ask for one of the booths near the back if you want a romantic separated table. The Duck was tasty (but salty). Craftsteak is primarily a steakhouse (as the name implies) so don't expect much else on the menu. Pros: Convenient Cons: Expensive, Narrow Menu more

Quite a happening joint! 8/3/2005

This is a great club! Get there early if you want to dance to classic music from the 70s, 80s and 90s. After midnight, the music changes. Great atmosphere. Lots of people everywhere so its not for the claustraphobic! more

The Club that Started it All 7/9/2005

Studio 54 was among the first super clubs to hit the Las Vegas scene and it's still one of the best. Dance until dawn to hot beats in this huge (I mean really, really big) nightclub. Designers have done a great job mirroring the hedonism and wildlife of New York's original "54." It's not uncommon to find people dancing from the ceilings and half-naked people performing unusual feats of daring while confetti showers down onto the dance floor. The club can get pretty crowded on a Friday or Saturday night -- and it'll stay that way until 5 a.m. Tuesdays are a special night for Studio 54. Dress code is strictly enforced. Drinks are as expensive as you might expect for a Vegas nightclub. PROS: Incredible atmosphere... Fun... Pulse-Pounding music CONS: Crowded more

Good Service, Average Food 7/7/2005

My husband and I visited Craftsteak for a nice, quiet dinner, which we received but we were very disappointed in the food. The service and lobster bisque was very good; however, the steak left a lot to be desired. There was no seasoning on the steak and I found it to be chewy. I would not recomment spending $150 on one meal at Craftsteak. Pros: Service Cons: Price, Food Quality more

A great Eat 6/6/2005

My girlfriend and I visited Craftsteak twice while staying at the MGM. The caviar is great, the kobe fillet is great, and the 2lb Australian lobster tail was superb. If you're in a hurry, don't go here. Service is good, but a little slow at times. Overall, the food was great and I would recommend this restaurant to others. more

Did not meet expectation 5/18/2005

The service was great. The lobster bisque was excellent. The side dishes were excellent. But the steak was a big disappointment. Although I would say, it was a great cut of meat. It did not meet the level of the rest of the meal. The steak did not have an outstanding flavor or imagination in how it was grilled. Anyone can put a high quality cut of meat on a grill, but for the value I would expect outstanding flavor and grilling. If the steak had met the level of the rest of the meal, it would been an excellent dining experience. more

Wonderful food 5/5/2005

The food was awesome. Wait staff is attentive and great at pampering guests. The menu is varied and interesting. There hasn't been a single negative anytime we have eaten there. more

Decent buffet 3/16/2005

This buffet is decent, although not remarkable. They have the standard, roast beef and a huge salad bar. There desserts are plentiful though so save room. Beyond that, go if you're there, it's definitely better value than the other things offered at MGM. more

Good Buffet for a Group. 11/3/2004

We went to this buffet on Father's Day (Sunday) brunch. It was very crowded but the line moved quickly and offers a great view of the lion habitat. Once seated, our server was polite and helpful. We ordered the buffet which offered a HUGE selection of both breakfast and lunch/dinner items. WELL WORTH THE PRICE. We are local to Vegas and many of the buffets leave something to be desired. I would go back to this one - it was very good! Pros: Good Selection, Good Food more

very good food 10/3/2004

The first thing I have to say...they serve steamed crab legs. This is the first buffet I have found in Vegas that actually serves warm crab legs. This was a very good buffet, but very expensive. There is also always a line. Pros: food quality, selection more

Serviceable but that's it 9/3/2004

The MGM Grand Buffet is a perfunctory big casino buffet. I had dinner there and for your $22.95 or whatever it is, it doesn't blow you away. The selection was OK but not up to the standards of Paris LV, Aladdin or Mirage. The items were quite decent on the whole but the crab legs were mushy and tasteless (Mirage was much better) and shrimp was the same (Paris was much better). In sum, perfectly decent taken on its own, but try other buffets in town and you'll see that the MGM Grand Buffet is not among the best. You can't really go wrong eating there but you can do better. Service was really good though. Pros: Reliable, Good service, Location Cons: , not cheap more

Wonderful Wedding Dinner 8/27/2004

We dined at CraftSteak after my daughter's Wedding. All 4 of us dressed in full wedding regalia! The service was very attentive without being obtrusive and certainly helpful in maintaining the festive feelings of our mini celebration. The food.....well the best is all we can say. Everyone enjoyed their meals immensely, we over ordered on the sides just so we could taste more variety. There wasn't a bad thing served! Go and eat yourselves full! Pros: FOOD, Ambiance, Service more

THE BEST MARTINIS IN VEGAS! 5/2/2004

My boyfriend and I have been to Craftsteak twice. Each time is totally worth it. We had the Rib-eye steak for two. Tender, flavorful, incredible presentation. For sides we chose the baby shitake mushrooms and graten potatoes. Their bread is amazing as well. Everything about our meal was superb, ESPECIALLY the martinis! Each one shaken to perfection and served with a beautiful twist which paralleled an incredible Vegas experience! I would highly recommend this restaurant! Pros: Ambiance, Service, Great food Cons: , Seats near bar smokey more

AWESOME!!! 3/21/2004

The meal that my husband and I had at Craftsteak was the best meal that we have EVER had. The atmosphere was classy yet relaxing. The service was excellent. As mentioned, the food was amazing. I had chicken, and my husband had a steak. We plan to go back there every time we visit Vegas! If you are looking for a delicious meal, with a great adult atmosphere...this is your restaruant!! Pros: delicious, not crowded, great service more

Amazing!!! 1/25/2004

I am usually not one for superlatives but the food at this restaurant is exceptional. It could easily be overlooked from its unassuming exterior but this place has a lot to offer. We spent $280 in total and I would have to say it was entirely justified. The skirt and crab bisque was totally unimaginable. I regard myself as reasonably well travelled and I can honestly say our experience was better than I have ever come across in Paris, London or New York. If you are in Vegas and are looking to take your experience of food to a totally different level, eat at Craftsteak. Its amazing!! Pros: great food Cons: a little expensive more

Superb 8/8/2003

Hands down the best steak I've ever had. I splurged and had the $50 Kobe beef flat iron steak. Absolutely tremendous. Very high scale restaurant. Very professional staff. Other than the fantastic steaks, everything else we had was awesome. Salads, potatoes, spinach, fries, desert. All of it was delicious. It is expensive, but in my opinion, worth every single penny. Pros: Steaks, Everything else Cons: nothing more
