definitely worth checking out 9/2/2010

I stayed here with a friend for 6 nights. We were on a slight budget and got ourselves a double room with a queen bed.The breakfast buffet (included in the room price) had a great selection and we made the most of this every morning to set ourselves up for the day, on the waffles, sausages, eggs, toast, bagels, fruit......The immediate area around the hotel is not really ideal, but since we had hired a car, this allowed us to get around very easily. The hotel is very well situated. Very close to the Griffith Observatory, Hollywood Blvd, and the Farmers Market. Its also just over 1 hr to Santa Monica and Venice Beach. Its definitely worth checking out and the prices are very reasonable! more

beds were comfortable 9/1/2010

We got a room upgrade, I guess, because we had a sofa and a sitting area with 2 chairs and table. It was a corner room. The room was nice. The beds were comfortable, and they had fitted sheets on the bottom - one of my favorite hotel perks! more

This hotel was convenient to Hollywood attractions, Griffith Park. It's across the street from the Red Line subway station. Lots of good restaurants a few blocks away on Hillhurst and Vermont. Easy, secure parking (yes, you do pay $18, but there's someone at the gate at all hours). I've stayed several times and the rooms are nice. Some much larger than others. TV was a bit fuzzy the last time I stayed, but not a big issue since we were out and about most of the time. Room was always clean and the staff was helpful and polite. Free continental breakfast was definitely a plus--included eggs, sausage, croissants, in addition to the traditional continental breakfast spread. more

Twice I've stayed at this hotel and never left disappointed. Rooms are clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, the staff are friendly and the location is great - everything was so close. more

highest standard of customer service 8/20/2010

You have a great front desk staff who always recognize us and always have the highest standard of customer service. There was only one girl and one man who had a problem with customer service, but the others (Roman,Peter, Michael, Gizelle, Sandra, Cecile and Nelson) highest standard of service you can be proud of. more

Your staff became an extended family to me. It was the first time my son and I travelled away from home since he became handicapped and I did feel as much at home as possible thanks to your staff. more

The staff is friendly, the employees bring their dogs to the back office. There is birds in large cages. I LOVE the feel of this hotel...and the location is so convenient. more

I stayed here for 3 nights in June, 2010 with 3 children. We were in the area mainly for Universal Studios and Hollywood sightseeing, so we didn't spend too much time in the room. We booked through Priceline, but beware the prices there are quoted for 1 bed and 2 people. We had to pay extra at the hotel for a second bed. I believe the total was around $129 a night, plus $20 per night for parking. Still a decent value for the quality in that area. The hotel was a couple miles from Universal Studios and Hollywood. The area was ok. I would not walk around there at night, as there were some groups of teens hanging out and some stores with bars on windows. We got a room upgrade, I guess, because we had a sofa and a sitting area with 2 chairs and table. It was a corner room. The room was nice. The beds were comfortable, and they had fitted sheets on the bottom - one of my favorite hotel perks! The breakfast was ok. In addition to the cold items, they had sausage, eggs (scrambled egg circles which were a spongy tasting), and waffles. They had some good pastries. They have a swimming pool with no hot tub (dang). The water was very cold. They had free wifi in the hotel. I would stay again and recommend. Though if going to Universal/Hollywood again, I'd be inclined to stay further out and pay less. more

“I had an excellent experience at this hotel. I had my elderly mother with me and the clerk was very gracious in suggesting the third floor to provide a quiet atomsphere away from the possible weekend street noise.” more

Nice place; good price. 7/27/2010

I stayed here with a few friends for a concert. We were there 4 nights; and overall, it was a great experience staying in there. Staff were really nice, especially when my friend wanted to heat up her food; we went down to the lobby and ask if we could heat up the food. They kindly let us. -- Service was nice, though we had our sign up saying don't disturb lol (we'd call to ask for extra towels or toilet paper. -- Another upside? Mr. Pizza Factory is right next to the hotel, you guys should try this pizza place; it's so good. I'd stay at this hotel again; and it's a good price too more

the greatest of customer ser 7/22/2010

I have stayed here for the last 7 months sometimes for a week to 3 weeks at a time. The staff goes out of their way to make me and my son feel at home. The rooms are clean and the hotel is a hidden treasure in this area. I have been in the lobby when some guests have complained about the slightest problem and found the staff to handle these disgruntled guests with the greatest of customer service. Some people just like to complain and are never satisfied. more

Good for in between flights 7/16/2010

I always stay here when I have a flight out of LAX either early morning or late at night. They let you park your car there as well while you are away. Rooms are clean, TV, air con, big bathrooms, laundry room , will give you a cot for your baby,etc more

Home Away from Home 7/16/2010

Since Sept 2009, my son and I have stayed at the Ramada Hollywood each month for 7-14 days while he filmed a tv show. My son uses a wheelchair and the hotel is so very accommodating to his and my needs. The hotel is immaculate and the staff makes you feel welcome and safe. The location is minutes from the studio and all sightseeing. We now feel we have a 2nd home in CA! more

I want to thank you SO much for everything that you did before and at the wedding. I thought you could not be any more amazing before the wedding...I was wrong. Your level of amazing-nests soared through the roof! You were PERFECT. Calm and completely in control. You knew everything there was to know and you handles every situation with grace. You made me feel calm and secure. It gave me a tremendous amount of relief that day knowing you were there because you have earned my trust 110%. I feel so lucky to have had you. Loved everything about the hotel 5/12/2010

My husband and i stayed in the hotel for one week from 14th February, 2010. We felt that the hotel was superb for the price. Very clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel. Very close to everything and easy to get around. We used the public transport. more
