Saw the high user rating on city search, and the Hideout webpage stating that Wednesdays were 1/2 price (beers & well drinks) days, so some friends and I decided to check it out. ...

Ladies, this one is safe! 8/21/2005

In a failed attempt to find a loungy scene on the westside that did not consist of smarmy guys attacking us at the door, insisting to buy us drinks with their mom's credit card, we fell into the Hideout. This was right up our alley. Great Thurday night crowd~good looking people, young and old, vibing out to an ecclectic range of 80's remixes. The outdoor smoking lounge was a plus. Definitely going to be our new spot. Pros: Valet, purse hooks!! more

  • With a curved entrance and simple neon cocktails sign, this airy cocktail hangout is a fun hideout for the local WeHo crowd. Swaying curtains separate the nautically themed bar area from the main lounge, which is decorated with images of Santa Monica in the '20s. The second floor features a loft and an overlook to the low-back-chair-filled rear patio. A now predominantly straight crowd ranges from flip-flop-wearing canyon dwellers to nearby restaurant patrons dropping in for weekend DJs and neighborhood gossip.
