A succulent experience 1/12/2003

My wife's father worked here back in the 1930's and she remembers fond memories of the place as told by her father and mother. The Grey Moss Inn was where they met. We were determined to find the restaurant and we weren't disappointed from the beautiful restaurant and grounds to the superb dinner. more

Intimacy and Great Food 11/3/2002

Thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and food. Service is great and the food is superb. A must place to dine at when in San Antonio. The setting is rustic, surrounded by huge oak trees in an old converted Pony Express station. Without doubt, a San Antonio "great restuarant. I love it and go back as often as possible. Thanks. Nice But Overpriced 11/1/2002

We celebrated our anniversary here and although the food was very good, it was not as spectacular as we'd been led to believe. Food was overpriced, however their attentive wait staff was wonderful. Good selection of wines. The atmosphere was unexpected as it was not "elite" or condusive to what we would consider fine dining, but it fit the restaurant's profile and was very pleasant. more

This has been the most romantic place to take ever since Mary Howell opened it. In th winter the open fireplace, the candles on the table, even the sloped wooden floors add to the ambience. more

Wonderful food and atmosphere 8/1/2002

I have visited the Grey Moss Inn twice, each time receiving excellent service, good wine, and an extremely succulent steak. The price is sort of high, but for the quality and portions you receive for the money, it's definitely worth it. On any given night you're sure to find a tasty chef's special as well. The desserts are heavenly and the atmosphere is outstanding. No one in our group left with an empty stomach or any complaints, and we are sure to return again soon!
