I spent nearly a week in DC because my son was in Georgetown University Hospital. I chose the Georgetown Inn for its proximity to the hospital but found much more to love than that. It's in a vibrant part of Georgetown, its rooms are large, bright, and very clean, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the attached restaurant was both high quality and comfortable to bop into for a late night dinner or drink (and discount). I walked most days the mile to the hospital which was a wonderful way to stay active in an otherwise sedentary situation, although it's an inexpensive Uber ride away. Speaking of, the area is very safe, and well lit. Anything I needed was a block or two away. I almost immediately felt like it was my home away from home.
