This Cheesecake Factory is right next to the harbor. You can choose to sit outside on the deck (which is pleasantly heated in the evening) and have a great view of the boats. It's...

I love going to the Cheesecake factory for dinner. I have been to several in southern California. They have great cocktails and a large menu. I can always find something to eat ...

Great Patio Dining 9/6/2009

The only reason to go here is the great outdoor patio overlooking the marina; 4 stars for that! The regular indoor restaurant is not good, 2 stars; touristy, gloomy, ugh! Same food which is a pretty good, and a decent value. Terrific place to dine outside after a full daykation of outdoor exercise. Pros: outside dining Cons: inside dining more

Good food, bad service 1/6/2008

I love going to the Cheesecake factory for dinner. I have been to several in southern California. They have great cocktails and a large menu. I can always find something to eat that fits my mood. I know the prices are high but the food is usually good and the portions are huge. We went to the one in Redondo Beach a couple of weeks ago. After being told our wait would be about 30 minutes, we decided to have a drink in the bar. We were seated for dinner before we got our drinks. I couldn't belive how slow the service was. And the same type of service continued in the dining area. Our waitress was unattentive. We had to ask for water, we had to flag her down to get another drink. It was really bad. These places are always packed. Is the service bad because they don't have enough wait staff or did we just get a bad waitress? We paid almost $200.00 for our meal. I definately don't think it was worth what we paid. The service ruined it for me. I will think twice before going here again. Pros: good food, large portions, good cocktails Cons: service for the price of the meals more

A nice place for a date 8/10/2007

The restaurant is beautiful, i visit this Cheesecake factory about twice a month. It's a great spot to take guests, or people visiting from out of town. The adjacent marina always makes for a great ambiance. I do have to admit that the management is starting to slack at the restaurant. The waiters are great but they simply get way too many tables, which makes it difficult for them to give you individualized attention while dining. The hosts are also a little rude, but again the management makes them deal with so much that who can blame them? The food is always at least ok, i get the bangbang chicken and shrimp or the Jamaican black pepper shrimp- both super awesome. I would recommend this restaurant and say take it easy on the waiters, it's really not their fault. Pros: The location, valet, food Cons: management more

Catering just ok 8/1/2007

I went to this restaurant for a pretty big party and the location is beautiful. The party was located upstairs in a room that overlooked the ocean. It was great, as was the cheesecake. The food, however, was not that great. I had never been to the Cheesecake Factory before and it could be that making food for 75 people is not their forte. The food was bad, though. I think I would still go to this restaurant to eat, however, since I haven't been for a regular visit. Pros: great location, dessert Cons: food was kind of bland more

A menu only a chain/corp could love; stick to cheesecake, please 7/20/2006

The food is overpriced and bland. It reminds me of dorm food--great variety that kills you to eat. Sure they have some tasty appetizers and comfort foods, but I would never go to all that trouble to come here and eat just that.\r \r What this place does do right is cheesecake and margaritas (hmm, they could use a margarita-flavored cheesecake...). The plain cheesecake with Oreo-crumble crust has some BAM! to it but is low-key enough that I can still taste the cheese in the cake. I had the Godiva one before--too much going on there, hard to really savor the flavor of the cheesecake. Also--this makes a huge difference--eat the cheesecake at room temperature. They served my table our cheesecake at room temperature at the Brentwood location and the cheesecake was 10x better.\r \r This place can also be romantic at night, what with the dim lighting and the view of the lagoon and all. \r Pros: cheesecake and margaritas (keep it simple, stupid), attentive servers Cons: overpriced bland food, parking (I dont believe in valet--waste of time and money) more

Have your cheese cake and eat it too 5/15/2002

Large servings make this a good place to go when you're hungry. A date should not be disappointed here. Fun for Birthday's or special occassions. If you have room for dessert good luck! more
