Excellent variety and personal client care 4/7/2010

I have been a customer/vendor since this business originally opened. They give the best variety, quality service and care that I have ever seen in a specialty store with lots to choose from. Would not hesitate to recommend this store to my clients and friends. The presentation and options for party invitations/favors/gifts are fantastic and the staff is super professional and kind, Great Job! Lisa@The Cookie Bandit,Inc. Pros: variety, knowledge of products, and quality more

Cutest stuff! 10/6/2009

That Invitation Place is awesome! My fiance and I odered our wedding invitations from there and were absolutely thrilled with the outcome. We wanted something custom and out-of-this-world and That Invitation Place came through! Their prices were way better than some other places we visited and they were so patient and helpful throughout the whole experience - which trust me, wasn't easy! We were so pleased we also ordered our thank you notes, menus and programs from them, as well. We will be back again soon. Pros: great prices & variety! Cons: sometimes busy more

Best invites in town! 2/19/2009

That Invitation Place is by far the best place in town to buy invitations or stationary. I have bought everything from wedding invitations to Christmas cards to birthday invitations for my daughter. I have never had a negative experience. I am frankly shocked to see any negative reviews and can only attribute these reviews to unreasonable customer expectations or abnormal experiences. The prices cannot be beat and their selection is unparalleled. I happily recommend this place to everyone and no one I know has ever been dissatisfied. To the contrary, I frequently have friends calling to thank me for the recommendation! This place is especially good if you're not clever with invitation wording -- i.e. me -- they always come up with the perfect words! Become a customer of That Invitation Place and trust me - you will not be disappointed! Pros: Location, Selection, Fabulous Staff Cons: Hours can sometimes be limited more

Love the new location!! 11/26/2008

I have been shopping here for over 9 years and have never had a less than pleasant experience. Their prices are the lowest in town. This summer I purchased invitations for my daughters 15's. I paid within $75 of what I paid for my first daughters 15's back in 2000! I still have the receipt and the printing prices are exactly the same as they were in 2000. I have shopped all around this town - I am not above hunting for a bargain - and haven't found anyone cheaper or with as wide a selection. \r The new store looks great (on the other side of the parking lot) and is sooo much bigger than the old location. There is tons of gift merchandise, all reasonably priced. I picked up 6 cute teacher gifts for under $75 today! Haven't found that in years... \r And I am so happy for Solange (the new owner) who I've dealt with from the beginning of my ""That Invitation Place"" experience! She has been there for ages and knows what she's talking about. I wish the store nothing but the best! Pros: Beautiful store, great variety and prices! more

Never again. 11/23/2008

That Invitation Place has absolutely gone down the drain. I've been going for many years ever since the sisters owned it. Now that there is a new ""owner"" it has definately changed. Orders are always a mess, their prices are insane, the employees are rude & you can tell by their attitude that they are not even sure themselves of what they are saying which is reflected on your order once picked up. Super unorganized! I would not recommend to this place to anyone at all ever again. Friends and I used to love it there, none of us go anymore. There are a couple of other stores around Miami where you will find amazing invites and have a wonderful staff experience. Pros: Bigger store now Cons: Customer Service more

Very bad customer service. Will not credit for work NOT done. 10/5/2008

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Only delivered 1/2 of a $500 order and will only credit $23! Very rude. Do not answer the phone or return calls. Do not use this company! Pros: good parking Cons: lousy service, late, will not credit for work not done more

Horrible customer service 10/2/2008

They are horrible! First of all, they are not opened from 9-5, it's something like 10a-3p and they don't open one day during the work week. They NEVER answer the phone and when you walk in it's always chaotic and the owners look frazzled, be prepared to wait a long time. I ordered wedding invitations and half were printed on the wrong side of the paper (okay printer's fault, but they should have taken full responsibility for the mistake) but I was still expected to pay full price for the invitations, but was given free Thank You cards (I didn't think that was enough for the big mistake made). After waiting a ridiculously long time for my Thank you cards they came out wrong, twice. I had asked them to print my address on the envelopes, they claimed I hadn't, and charged me an additional $20 for it after they had screwed up so badly on my whole order. Obviously, they lack professionalism and customer service. more

Rudest experience 9/15/2008

I have been shopping at That Invitation Place for years now with pretty good results and experiences. However, recently I walked in to purchase samples for my baby shower and could'nt have been treated any ruder if they tried! I had a sales girl practically on top of me as I browsed their selection and then was told they only allow customers to purchase only 6 samples, no more no less, Now its not the rule, thats ok, it was the attitude and the way they said it. Every thing I said from that point was challenged by the very person taking my money! By the time I paid, I wasnt even speaking!!! They act as if they are doing you a favor just by letting you in their store! I have never been treated this way especially when spending money! They lost a potential customer and I will never recommend them to anyone. Whatever happened to the customer always being right? The owners and staff here have no idea or customer service skills as evidenced by their sarcasm, rudeness and nasty attitude. do yourself a favor, shop elsewhere! Save yourself the aggravation! more

Love it. 8/28/2008

I personally love the store. Ive been there plenty of times. The service is wonderful. I hate walking in there though and seeing snooty people who like to have everything their way. There just humans :]. Theres plenty of excellent choices which often makes it difficult to choose from but eventually you find what your looking for and the assistance is pleasant also. From the wonderful creative owner to her eager staff, the mood set by just going to buy invitations, calling cards, or even a gift makes you want to go back and see whats new. Recommended to anyone who wants great quality. \r \r more

Beyond Impressed 8/31/2007

I shopped all around town for the perfect invitation for my daughters fifteenth birthday and found it at That Invitation Place. I first went to all the high end boutique stores thinking that there I would find the best selection and service. WRONG! They were only willing to help me upon asking me how much I was willing to spend -- and making sure it was enough to be worth their while. What a turn off! News flash for them, it was more than enough to pique their interest, but they lost mine at the first hint of snobbiness. \r \r I swung by That Invitation Place on a weekday afternoon - (during those summer hours when they closed super early!) just as they were getting ready to close and was still treated with patience and courtesy at a time when most stores would have shut the door on me. The ladies who working there were beyond helpful and full of great ideas to please a picky mother and daughter with contradicting tastes! They created a beautiful custom invitation that was better than anything I had seen at the other stores around town. They were super cooperative every step of the way, even throughout my outrageous demands and mood swings! Oh the stress of planning a party!\r \r About a week after ordering, I had 200 gorgeous invitations in my hand that my daughter and I designed ourselves. I have since been back to order thank you notes for my daughter, stationary for myself and some yummy smelling personalized soaps for a girlfriends birthday - which arrived the same week! A cheap personalized gift (but no one needs to know that!) that I'm gifting all the girls in my husband's office with this Christmas. \r \r Getting back to business, yeah, the store can be crazy packed and sometimes it's hard to get someone's undivided attention there, but isn't a packed store a good sign? They must be doing something right to keep so many people coming back. I'd deal with the frantic environment and great prices over someone holding my hand (and wallet) on the Mile anyday! Pros: Great service, great selection, reasonable prices, friendly and knowledgeable staff Cons: Too many beautiful options make for tough decisions! more

Best Invitations in Town 8/23/2007

Very proffesional staff, friendly and always ready to help and give me ideas for my invitations. They turned out beautiful!!! more

best selection,awesome prices,very fast service and 5/15/2007

Over the years I've ordered invitations from almost everywhere in town and always wonder why I ever went anywhere else. That Invitation Place has an incredible selection and I mean if you can't find it there, it does'nt exist! They are ""very"" busy so at times a slight wait is required but if you are willing to hang in there the service is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They will even help you make up rymes and cute sayings specific to your theme! They have the fastest turn -around time I've found, usually 2 days with a proof! They have been around for over 10 years in the same place, and still remain one of Miami's best kept secrets despite being on ""Who's wedding is it anyway"" (style network) and a write up in Lucky magazine! I was surprised to read the negative review above as I have personally dealt with both owners and found them more than courtious. Some people are never satisfied( I call them chronic coplainers)! Anyway, I highly recomend That Invitation Place, and hope you check them out for yourself. My friends and I are very happy we did. Pros: Awesome selection. Fast, friendly service and great prices. Quality printing. Cons: very busy, sometimes a wait. more

Worst printed invitations in town! 2/22/2007

Very poor service and very poor quality of product. They act like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to buy from them. They make many mistakes and don't even apologize for them. The attitude is terrible and I'm talking about the owners not just the staff. There are many, many other places to go for invitations in Miami that have much better service and quality of work. I won't ever go there again and I hope you won't either! Pros: Location, selection Cons: Quality of printing is very poor, they are not reliable, very rude staff more
