Best

I love this place. I especially love the Thai Spaghetti!!! It's small and it gets crowded, but the service is good.

Worst

I think the food is average to above for the money. The problem here is that they will change

Worst Thai Food in the City 12/2/2011

My favorite food is Thai food. I love it and could eat it every day. Thai Kitchen to me has the worst Thai Food in town. I have eaten there on several occasions and every time I leave disappointed and swear I will never go back. The soup tastes watered down to where I can't even finish it, the vegetables don't seem fresh, when I order a curry mild, it always comes super spicy. Unfortunately this place is a waste of time. Go somewhere else instead. more

great authentic Thai food! 2/16/2011

I'm new to town and have to find my new favorite Thai food spot. My apartment locator recommended me Thai Kitchen and their beef salad. Having been to Thailand and tasted real beef salad, this is as close as it gets! I will try Tom Yum Goong at my next trip! more

Best seafood hot pot in town!! 9/23/2010

Thai Kitchen is by fay the best Thai restaurant Ive had since I moved to Austin. The seafood hot pot is the best!!! more

Pretty good! 7/19/2010

Decided to try this place out because of the late hours. I was pleasantly surprised! Cute decor, food was tasty and full of flavor. I would have liked to see bigger portions and friendlier service. Our waiter was not bad just not super friendly but the food and price make up for it. I also like the convenience of late hours. I had the pad thai and green curry seafood...the only complaint was the calamari was a bit overcooked. If you are not big on spicy- beware- it IS spicy! Pros: Price, Location, Hours, Tasty! Cons: Small Parking Lot more

Gone downhill 12/4/2009

I ate here tonight for the first time in a year. It has really gone down hill. Last year, the entree came with soup and an egg roll. Tonight I just got the entree. And it was disgusting! This was one of my favorite places in austin but I will never eat here again. Gross! more

My favorite Thai food in Austin 2/13/2009

Good, affordable Thai food. The Phat Thai is wonderful, as is the green curry spaghetti. Good vegetarian selection. Each sauce has a unique flavor, so try a few dishes and share. more

Order the Tiger Cry & Larb Gai and bring your own beer 3/10/2008

Seriously, order the Tiger Cry and/or the Larb Gai & you won't be disappointed. For vegetarian recommendations, look to another reviewer. Pros: BYOB Cons: BYOB more

Dishonest at best 1/24/2008

The food here is so,so. I have had better and I have had worse. The problem is the dishonesty of Pros: ok food Cons: dishonest employees and owner more

Filthy, disgustingly so 6/14/2007

This place is so amazingly filthy that I had to sign up to write this review -- and I don't think I have ever written a review on one of these sites, ever. Pros: it is thai-like Cons: unbelievably filthy place more

Best Thai Spicy Vegetarian choices 1/6/2007

This place is probably the best Thai place which offers the spiciest of the curries in Austin. They have a lot of vegetarian choices. I dig their Green Curry and their Fried Rice. They have a special section for the ""killer spicy"" entree`s and if you like eating burning, hot kinda spicy .. order their ""Crying now"". its amazing and if you are not used to the heat it definitely lives to up to its name. This place is for my soul food !... Pros: Thai Curry, Cheap, Spice levels are adjusted really well. Cons: Service is not fantastic on busy days. they are short staffed. more

Great Fried Rice 11/17/2006

I struggle with finding good rice in Austin. This place was great. The rice was fluffy and it had alot of flavor. My boyfriend and I loved it. Pros: can walk on the drag while you wait on your food Cons: small space more

Great thai food!! 9/23/2006

This is one of the best thai restaurant I've been to. Great price. Their tofu is delicious. I would say it's a lot better than Madam Mam's. They are sometimes understaffed though. It's also little hard to find because it's partially hidden. Go there. Pros: price, food (tofu) Cons: understaff, location more

Genuine Thai Food 7/25/2005

The only authentic Thai restaurant in Austin. I have tried countless other places, and nothing comes close to Thai Kitchen. A lot of westernized restaurants purposely omit spices, such as lemongrass and galanga, and the flavors are subsequently off. This is the place to go if you want the real thing. Pros: food, service , price Cons: parking more

Wonderful Food 6/6/2005

I've been going to the three different locations for over 10 years. After reading some of the other reviews, I knew I had to set the record straight...They have delicious, authentic, and flavorful food. I have introduced the Thai Kitchen to many friends, and everyone has fallen in love with it. Some dishes to try are the thai sandwhiches, shrimp spring rolls, pad thai, peanut soup, and anything and everything else. You can even bring your own beer/wine if you like! Pros: location, food is wonderful, open all the time more

only one dish i will eat 5/13/2005

Ever since I have been eating at Thai Kitchen, I will only get the #20 vegetarian dish (mossamun tofu). It is a great combination of spice and sweetness and the crunchy peanuts make it perfect. The veggie egg rolls are also amazing. The only problem I had there before was the service- they insisted that I was wrong in the way that I worded my order. They argued with me for about 5 minutes until they finally saw that perhaps the customer should be right...after that, I didn't go back for a few months. But I go back now because I missed my favorite tofu dish. I have taken many friends there, and now it is one of their favorite resturaunts. more

Nice place 1/2/2005

Very nice food. Average atmosphere. Wish the restaurant was manned entirely by Thais. Recommended. Pros: Tasty food, Friendly staff, Great service Cons: , A little dusty, Un Aesthetic more

A hidden gem 5/29/2004

Hands down, the most authentic Thai cuisine in town. Thai Kitchen has an endless menu of unique dishes to choose from. You need to visit on several occasions to fully appreciate the restaurant. Prices can be somewhat elevated on certain dishes, but don't let that hold you back. It's worth the price. If you're looking for a taste of Southeast Asia untouched by American influence, check out Thai Kitchen. Pros: Variety, Quality of food Cons: , Price, Crowded more
