Cheers to Terilli's 3/5/2010

Terilli's was devastated by a fire that started adjacent to the restaurant this past Tuesday. Me and my boyfriend and our friends and family that went to Terilli's are beyond devastated. This place was always worth the wait and it was just down the street from us. It was one of the places that made this neighborhood and area special and unique. The place had great food and old world charm with none of the pretentiousness of Uptown, HP, Henderson, etc. Or the chain cheesy-ness of the Plano-Frisco-Addison places... One of the few places that you actually got candlelight and jazz with your dinner. Anyone who would even say Olive Garden in the same breath as Terilli's has no clue what they are talking about. Me and my family are great cooks and we know good food. Maybe it was an off night because everyone I know loved the place. It will be missed and I hope Jeannie Terilli and co. will rebuild in the same spot and bring us back what Dallas and Lower Greenville need! :) Good luck and God Bless! Pros: Great food, sexy music, beautiful decor, atmosphere more

Waited too long just to be dissapointed 12/26/2007

My friends recommended this place and by the looks of the other reviews other people seem satisfied. On the other hand I was not, the most impressive thing to me was how fast the valets retrieved the car, very nice!! Upon walking in there was no one at the hostess stand (more waiting). We were then informed that there is a 45 min wait it was 8:30 on a Friday; that would of been understandable except for the fact the place was half empty. The music is nice but very loud. We ordered calimari for a starter it was bland and greasy but at least not chewy. My dining companions orded crab claws, tasty but half of them were too soaked in butter to be eaten. The other ordered veal which he was satisfied with I ordered a chicken dish with angel hair, veggies, and parmesean sauce. I was very disspointed there was barely any sauce on it when everyone elses had plently. The chicken was very dry and bland. This dish was a major 18 dollar miss. After the plates were cleared there was about a 20 minute absence of our waitress and then we waited even longer for change. My suggestion, go to Olive Garden you will pay less and be actually full when you leave. Pros: The valets are superb! Cons: Food and service more

Cool Atmosphere...but loud!! 10/22/2007

The ambience was great. When my husband and I drove up we were ooohing and ahhhing at the site of it. It's so nicely lit up...and the patio looked so inviting. And it really was, until we stepped inside. We soon discovered that we were screaming at each other, because the music was soooo loud. The inside of the restaurant is very nice and dimly lighted, but the blasting saxaphone and piano was very distracting. I can see where they can get the idea that it's romantic, but this is really a restaurant that you take a group of people to. My husband and I requested to sit outside on the patio, and it made it bearable. Everything else was great...they have a great selection of imported beers and the food is very tasty. more

Intimate Atmosphere 9/14/2006

Celebrated a friend's birthday here. Great selection of martinis/wines (however, markup on wines was high). The atmosphere is chic, romantic, and intimate, very conducive to conversation. The lobster asparagus salad was absolutely awesome! Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Parking more

best steak and martinis in town 6/27/2006

If you are in the mood for a great food and live music, Terilli's is the place to go. They do such a great job of blending fine, romantic dining with fun and energy. I can take a date or go out with friends for happy hour, and feel comfortable either way. I also recommend asking for Joey, he will make sure you have a good time. Pros: live music, food, drinks Cons: parking more

A Favorite 4/13/2006

My husband and I have searched Dallas for great Italian food and found it at Terilli's. The escargot was unusual but outstanding. I highly recommend it. The wine was served in glasses large enough to savor the aroma. I had lasagna and it was the best I've ever had. What a surprise when I sipped the decaf coffee served with dessert. It was rich with a delightful cinnamon taste. We'll go back to Terilli's time and again. Pros: Outstanding Food, Great Service, A Good Value Cons: Valet Parking, Sometimes Crowded more

Smooth Italian 4/5/2006

Great food served by attentive and friendly staff have made this my favorite spot for Italian. Coupled with good live music, you have a great date combo. We love the bar. The martinis and bellinis keep the crowd happy. Even Micheal and the other bartenders seem to have a good time. Valet the wheels at the door and leave your worries at the curb. more

great place for lunch 5/27/2003

Great place for lunch, but tends to be crowded and loud at night, unless you're looking for crowded and loud, then you'd have a winner. They sometimes have musicians play, which is a plus, but try and get your visiting done during the breaks, as you will not be able to hear during the sets. Food is really good for Dallas Italian. Pasta salad on the lunch menus is outstanding. Alcoholic drinks are expensive. Tables are pretty close together. But the food is still worth it all.... great food. Cons: parking more
