The best tennis shop in the region and worth a visit! 8/31/2008

If you need good advice on which racket to buy or if you are a serious player looking for top notch stringing and other services, this is the only place to go in the area. Sure, you can buy a racket cheaper online, but if you want to buy the right racket for your level of play, from beginner to advanced non-pro, you will get valuable advice from qualified and experienced people at this store. \r \r They carry just about every quality product for tennis and squash.\r \r This is not the tennis department in a store that tries to do everything and does it badly or at best at a mediocre level.\r \r Beginners - get the right racket to help you learn properly instead of buying the wrong racket and giving up after a few tries. Your athleticism, strength, hand size and other factors are very important in deciding what racket you should use. This is one of the only places where you can get good advice on what to purchase.\r \r Intermediates - get help to improve your game - you might be using a racket that isn't quite right for your style of play or you might have trouble properly gripping the racket and need a good overgrip (and please note that there are plenty of BAD overgrips.) Bring your racket with you.\r \r Advanced - get your rackets properly strung for a change, even when choosing hybrids, and pick up a hot new item from time to time. They sold me a Princegrip Plus liquid grip enhancer which works better than other products that I have tried and is less messy than Lendl's sawdust. :)\r \r This is the type of store that we should all appreciate - a store where the personal attention, expertise and selection add value to your buying experience, unlike buying online or buying at a sports 'superstore.' Pros: Expert advice and services that you don't get in other shops or online Cons: parking, but they'll come out to your car if you need to pick up your purchase more

Rude Owners But Good Selection 6/27/2008

Like the other reviewer mentioned, the customer service is horrible. The people at this place are rude and they are in a customer-oriented business!! The old lady there usually gives barely audible responses and often cuts you off in the middle of a sentence. However, sometimes when she's in a good mood she's communicates properly :) When I'm talking to her, I'm almost scared to ask a question because I feel she might snap at me.\r \r However, they do have a good selection and fairly decent demo program. They will let you try racquets multiple times until you find the right one. Also, the ""younger"" gentleman who works there is fairly knowledgeable and nice; he'll help you with your questions. \r \r All said and done, this is a convenient place if you live around Boston but the service is horrible. I would probably not buy anything from them as most of the online stores are cheaper. Pros: Convenient location, good demo program Cons: Rude people, bad customer service, expensive equipment. more

Less than mediocre everything 11/24/2005

All the stuff you want is usually there, but at 50% price mark up compared to online stores. Customer service is one of the poorest I have encountered: unfriendly staff, choppy careless verbal responses to legitimate customer questions, and no accountability on returns (I cancelled an order but my card was still charged after almost two weeks). You're better off ordering online and pay small shipping fee. Pros: Specialized store Cons: Customer service, Friendliness, Value more
