I recently had an extremely bad experience at Tena's. I first went into the store and talked with one of the sales ladies about purchasing an engagement ring for my girlfriend and I was quoted a price on the back of a business card, which she told me was an ""Out The Door"" price, of having a duplicate made of one of their vendor rings to decrease the cost of the ring, which was a recommendation from the sales lady. I was assured that the ring would be an exact duplicate of the ring we were wanting. I went back a week later to put a down payment on the ring to get them to start making it and they had increased the price without telling me and also added tax to it which came $450 more than the price they had first quoted me. After getting the receipt I questioned her about it and showed her the card she had given me and written the price ""Out The Door"" on the back of it. She asked if she could keep the card and I told her she could make a copy of it but I wanted to keep the original. She made a copy and said she would look into it and never did try to rectify this mistake. I was then told the ring was done to come look at it and it looked nothing like the ring we wanted. It looked like the jeweler had ordered a cheap ring and tried to pass it off as something he made. We had them send it back to have them try to fix the ring. When getting the ring back the second time it looked better but still had somethings that needed to be changed on it. During this visit we were also told that the price increase was due to the rise in the price of gold. After this visit we decided we were going to try to purchase the original ring we wanted since it was going to be about the same price. We were told that Tena's would take the money paid towards the first ring and apply that to the second one from the manufacturer. One week after we decided to do this Tena's sold the ring we were having made. We then found out that the ring would be too much and asked if we could get our money back but Tena's would only allow us to use the money as credit in their store. After used 75% of the credit they decided they would keep the rest of the money for a fee to their jeweler for making the first ring even though they made money off of the person they sold the original ring too they tried getting more money out of me for them going to the trouble when it did not even look like what we were wanting. Customer service is really nice but they will do everything they can to take money from you. If you go in make sure you cover your tracks and pay for things in full. I would recommend that no one trade with Tena's. I heard Foster's was a great store but Tena's does not meet anything that the story's at Foster's justify. All the reviews on here are from the Foster's store and Tena's is taking credit for them.
