Perfect tex-Mex combination you will find anything you want, since vegetarian, seafood, Mexican or tex-Mex the most I like is the family feeling and the taste of hommie food the service is very good and the girls are realy fast especialy at lunch more

Awesome place. Great food & atmosphere, plus friendly down home service. The stuffed snapper is AWESOME! The salsa is the best I've tasted.... The grilled quail & chile rellanos are outstanding. Great to see a mom and pop establishment these days! Pros: Great service, great food! Cons: Honestly can't think of one...the parking situation isn't great? more

Horrible food 7/29/2006

Ordered huevos rancheros - received an omelette with excessive cheese. Authentic huevos rancheros don't have cheddar cheese! Come on - cheddar cheese is not used in Mexico. I almost got sick from the globs of it...yuck. My Dad ordered flautas and they came out so greasy. The physical set-up and feel is nice but the food is not good and certainly not authentic. I'll never go back and can't recommend. Pros: original/cool interior decoration Cons: FOOD more

The Best Real Mexican Food! 10/4/2002

We live in Austin now, but still come to Tejas everytime we visit Houston. The food is great, from the complimentary salsa to the fresh caught fish. I recommend the quesadillas with the green tamale sauce for dipping. This place is family owned and operated, with authentic Mexican food. Give it a try if you haven't yet!!!
