Excellent Service and Training 9/6/2010

Team Quest in Gresham provided excellent service and training. My friend came from Colorado to train at Team Quest for one-week 2-3 times a day. The price to train was inexpensive and worth much more. We showed up on a Saturday afternoon the doors were locked but Bruce was in the parking lot and help us get in to check out the gym. Hilary provided us with a training schedule. Bruce gave us a tour and told my friend about an open mat at Premier Martial Arts in West Linn on Sunday. The rest of the week we met and/or he trained with John Salemme, Eric Casanova, Judo Jon, Josh Bennett, Pat Healy, Tommy Metcalfe, Keoki Badiang, Scott McKendry, Robert Follis, and trained with many other fighters in class, and everyone at Team Quest was helpful and kind. My friend learned valuable MMA skills and we felt comfortable and welcomed at Team Quest. We'll be back and continue to share our positive experiences at Team Quest. more

Not all it was cracked up to be 3/10/2010

There is no doubt that Team Quest is one of the best MMA gyms in the country. After taking two classes, I will not be returning. I have found a better gym. There does not seem to be a welcoming spirit among the students at the gym, they have their own little cliques and do not like strangers. And the classes are big, you do not get that much one on one attention, and it does not help the coaches seem more interested in being social then teaching. I will say I was impressed with the front desk staff, they showed an eagerness to set me up and help me get into the class, I just was not happy when I got there. The bottom line, look for a gym that makes new students feel welcome, seems to care for your goals and wants to welcome new students. Pros: Its Team Quest, The front office Cons: Cliquish Attitudes, Classes too big more

IIt is all HYPE 5/18/2009

I was excited to start at Team Quest, I mean if you are into MMA, what do you expect from one of the so-called best fight clubs around. The coach for the introductory kickboxing classes acted like he could care less about the fact I was new, I was not one of his friends. I tried to ask him questions and he ignored me, and acted like he was too busy for a new student. Nothing made sense. This place is awfully expensive and you do not get your moneys worth, I ended up joining another MMA gym in town and really feel like the coaches care and want to help their students get better. No one at TQ really cares for their students unless they are fighters. Pros: The name speaks for itself Cons: Egos, Price, Coaching more
