The staff here is very helpful, and willing to let you sniff every canister if you like. I like the genmaicha from Kuan Yin a bit more, but Teacup has a nice selection and is a bit quieter and less of a "scene." more

The perfect cup of tea 8/21/2005

The Teacup is located on the top of Queen Anne Hill on the north end of Queen Anne Avenue. They have a wide selection of loose teas, from herbal to black to green and even white teas. It's a great place to meet someone for tea. Frequent customers, or anyone, can start a tea card. After purchasing six cups of brewed tea, you get the next one free. Elizabeth, the owner is incredibly knowledgeable and can assist anyone in the search for the perfect cup of tea. The Teacup also serves scones and cookies to go with your cup or pot of tea. more

If you like Tea... 8/16/2005

Man, the Tea Cup is great! The staff is REALLY nice and REALLY helpful. I went in not knowing anything about tea looking for a gift for my wife for her birthday, I (attempted) to explain what types of teas she liked (which I could barely do) and they helped me find four interesting and tasty teas, in fact they did so good that one of the ones I had bought my wife had just ran out of and I had never even heard of it! more

Fantastic Tea Shop 8/14/2005

Teacup located in Queen Anne Ave has an incredible selection of Green, black, white, and oolong teas. The teas are sold by the 1/4 lb and are collected from the best teashops in the world. At first you might find the extensive menu daunting. Do not fret. The staff is very knowledgeable about the many teas that they carry. Ask for a sample of teas. I recommend the silver peony. Very delicious. more

The Teacup, right on Queen Anne Avenue near the top of Queen Anne Hill, has a wonderful selection of high-quality teas. It's been a little while since I've been in, but if I remember right you can buy bulk tea leaves or order a cup of tea to drink there. They also host tea tastings. more
