Superb Veterinary Care 9/17/2011

I've been taking my 2 ""fur children"" to Dr. Susie and her staff for 7 years. Dr.Susie is one of the most caring and compassionate people I know. She, and her staff, take care of my girls as though they were their own. We are always greeted by name and with a smile. They provide excellent care - whether it's a routine check-up, boarding or an emergency. Not only are they exceptional with my dogs, they are responsive to my needs as a worried ""parent."" I've introduced my family to their services, and now they use Wolfchase Animal Hospital, too. (p.s. - I was introduced to Dr. Susie by a friend, and I am grateful!) more

Best veterinary care for over 5 years 7/10/2011

We have been taking our dogs to Dr. Taylor and Dr. Dixon for about five years. They have taken excellent care of our dogs throughout various illnesses and stages of life. We would not take our animals anywhere else, and we highly recommend them. In response to some of the comments here: (1) the vets arrive at 9:00 am. That is always clearly stated. They work long hours to take care of our animals and are often there quite late. (2) This is not an emergency hospital, so if your pet has an emergent problem outside of clinic hours you should take it to an emergency hospital. (3) If you care about the quality of care your pet will receive rather than whether or not the vet has excellent social skills, Wolfchase is the place for you. more

Love the whole team at Wolfchase Animal Hospital 2/12/2011

Highest Recommendations-- the whole team at Wolfchase is great, been taking my pets there for 5 years and couldn't ask for a more caring group. We have seen all the vets there and especially love Dr. Bowers and Dr. Taylor. more

I DO NOT recomend 6/16/2010

I had at least three different people on many occasions over a years time examine a lump on my dogs neck. Each of these Wolfchase Animal Hospital staff members told me not to worry about it. ""It is just a wart and it's bothering you more than it is bothering him"". Note: I have been taking my two dogs and two cats here for over 10 years. The vet that provided a second opinion REMOVED THE TUMOR! Need I say more? Cons: Several more

Wonderful Service 3/24/2010

Our Basset Hound puppy ingested a ton of stuffing from a child's toy. The decision to operate was an easy one. But afterwards it was as if he had given up. He wouldn't eat for days. We all, including the staff, feared the worst would come about. But they treated our pup as if he was their own. We were allowed to make periodic visits to try and boost his spirits and he kind of became a masscot around the office during his stay. Ultimately he snapped out of his mood and gained his appetite back with a vengence. I truly believe the care and attention he received while at Wolfchase Animal Hospital made all the difference. He's now a full grow Basset and Wolfchase Animal Hospital is the only place I'll take him. more

Get second opinion 3/8/2010

Three times in 1 1/2 months I took my cat to see the doctor. My cat wasn't eating and was losing weight. All the times one of the female docs said that ""cats are fickle. She's just going through a phase."" Finally, I got a second opinion at Berryhill Animal Hospital. They already had an idea of the problem that same day. Unfortunately, it was too late. Wolfchase may be convenient to you. But don't risk your pet's life. They are all too incompetent. Pros: No pros Cons: Everything more

BEST CARE EVER 8/26/2009

DR. SUSIE TAYLOR IS GOD'S GIFT TO ANIMALS. SHE HAS CARED FOR MY PETS SINCE 1985. SHE HAS BROUGHT MY BELOVED CHI CHI THROUGH TWO COURSES OF CHEMO FOR LYMPHOMA. THE TREATMENT CAN BE A STRUGGLE FOR OWNER AND PET. AN ALREADY ILL PATIENT IS BEING GIVEN MEDS THAT CAN HAVE SIDE EFFECTS THAT ARE DIFFICULT TO MANAGE. NEVER ONCE DID DR TAYLOR FAIL TO ANSWER MY CALL OR PLEA FOR HELP (EVEN THOUGH AT TIMES IT WAS MY ANXIETY SHE WAS TREATING MORE THAN MY PET'S ILLNESS). CHI CHI IS DOING WELL AND I THANK GOD FOR HER AND DR TAYLOR AND STAFF REGULARLY! more

Good with animals not so well with people 9/7/2008

Animal Hospital's should open when the doctor is present. When a doctor arrives 2 1/2 hours after the clinic opens it puts many of their patients in jeopardy. Dr. Taylor is good with animals but her people skills are in desperate need of adjustment. It is understandable that Doctors are human just like the rest of us and we can not expect them to be present at the clinic 24 hours a day but a little bit of personality and compassion would be nice too. Pros: knowledgable doctor when present Cons: customer service and communication more

Response to first review of Wolfchase 6/16/2008

My name is Dr. Stephen Rea. I am a veterinarian who nows works in a rural area in Mississippi. I am ""the veterinarian"" who was blamed for ""killing"" the above stated lady's cat. Now, this particular case is a very interesting one. The funny thing about it is that, I have not been employed there since June of 2006. But yet I am still the veterinarian taking blame for the treatment of her cat. I urge everyone that takes into consideration the reviews of these websites to also take into consideration the people that are giving these reviews. Apparently this ""lady"" is accusing a veterinarian that works and lives 3 hours away of killing her cat. This ""lady"", i assume, is talking out of rage and should evaluate her thoughts before shes says them next time. I believe she owes me an apology for putting my name into a situation where it doesn't belong, and should get her facts straight before she starts talking about anyone ever again. SO EVERYONE TAKE THESE REVIEWS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT, B/C APPARENTLY SOME OF THE PEOPLE ON HERE DON'T QUITE KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. THESE KIND OF PEOPLE ARE EXACTLY HOW RUMORS GET STARTED!!!! more

My Vet didn't care and my baby is dead 5/12/2008

My hear is broken, my lovey buddy Peeves the cat was mauled by a dog. An accident I will never forget. There were no open wounds but I knew he was hurt badly. I was hysterical so brought him to Wolfchase Animal Hospital. I trusted them as we been with them for a year for routine vaccinations. I later found Vet didn't even arrive until 30-45 min after they opened I was told to leave him there all day for observation, they said they'd call me right after he was seen. An hour and a half went by and nothing..i'm pacing, I called and as I was being patronized by the reception, she told me the doctor is getting to it and they would call me. Another hour goes by and I finally get a male friend to call to talk to the doctor for answers. He claims to have ""palpitated"" his abdomen, everything is fine, he is only bruised. When I went to pick him up I reminded them that my baby had been attacked and shaken by a dog but I was repeatedly reassured he was fine. I got my kitty home and when I got him out of his carrier I discovered his wounds had not even been cleaned and he had a horrible smell of distress and urine. I gave him antibiotics and let Peeves rest and tried my best to care for him. Second day...My baby is bleeding from what looks like his privates. I run back to the vet so sad and scared that my baby is injured inside. Dr Stephen Rea insisted that Peeves was only bruised. He said that peeves was bleeding from a cut even when I said it looks like it had the direction of his urine on his fur. I said..he can't walk, he cries out in pain, he's acting so unusual, i'm scared. He just said here's some pain medication..I assure you have a ""completely healthy kitty"". I went home but could not sleep I felt my buddy needed more but tried to trust the Vet. The next morning his is cold and shaking and barely breathing and bleeding on the floor. He died on the way to the emergency vet crying out in pain and I'll never forgive the carelessness with wich he was treated. I loved him. Pros: If you hate your animal you can take him here, One receptionist cared Cons: apathy, ignorance, ego, closed ears, rude staff more

Worst Animal Hospital 5/8/2008

My beloved dog was struck by a car over the weekend and Dr. Taylor made us wait until she was finished with ""church and her potluck dinner"" to help us. This was 5 hours after my dog was struck. He was bleeding internally and when she finally met us at the office she was rude and told us to hurry up because she had something else to do. She refused to help us carry him in even though he weighs 80 lbs. He wound up dying and I feel it was due to her waiting so long to help him. We had no other options to help him other than her since we were already an established patient and it was the weekend. \r Dr Taylor then charged us over $3,000.00 for the visit even though she didn't help him. Dr. Taylor is a heartless person and I would avoid her and her practice at all costs. Cons: uncaring staff and doctor more
