Best

I am shocked by the negative words about Dr. Taylor. She has been my psychiatrist for over a year and has helped me immensely. She took the time to run tests before prescribing ...

Worst

I don't know how I could possibly make this review more negative without actually pouring gasoline over it and setting it on fire. But I would if I could. I came to see Taylor ...

total whack job 9/6/2008

after reading other reviews of her, all i have to say it DITTO! This doctor is truly in need of help. more

Crazy doctor, run like the wind 7/31/2008

This is a psychiatrist? She is the strangest doctor I have ever seen, run as fast as you can. I would be highly skeptical of any diagnosis made by her. I was forced to leave her office after she tried to charge me after she started completing insurance forms during session time, needless to say I walked out. All other previous reviewers are correct. Completely unprofessional, doctor is in need of help herself. Pros: None. Cons: Doctor only cares about getting money. more

absolutely horrible experience 6/21/2008

I have been in therapy for over ten years (on and off), and Linda Taylor has to be the worst therapist I have ever seen. She was extremely unprofessional, my session lasted over an hour and a half and I had to finally end the appointment myself around 10:45 pm! She had absolutely no knowledge of any medications and refused to prescribe my antidepessant that I've been on for almost two years! Cons: EVERYTHING!!!!!! more

You thought you were crazy. 5/19/2008

Sweet lady, I can only guess that all the years of helping with others mental health issues has drove her passed the brink of sanity. I hope she gets well soon and then returns my co-pay. Pros: Made my issue seem petty in comparison Cons: Pretty much everything, she seemed so tortured. more

Lunatic and not an M.D. 5/19/2008

This woman is complete and total BATS! Not only is she clearly nuts (and makes you leave a credit card number with her like the other people have already said), she also does not have an M.D., she has a D.O. Like the others have said, all good psychs have at least a 2 month waiting list. ""Dr."" Taylor can see you in one to three days! She seriously does not portray any knowledge of medicine - when I told her I was on thyroid medication for an UNDERactive thyroid, she said she could not prescribe meds to anyone with an OVERactive thyroid. She kept repeating this over and over and over. When I finally told her I would get a lab test to SHOW her that I do not have an OVERactive thyroid, she said 'okay' and then wanted to schedule another hour ($350) appointment TWO DAYS LATER so that I could come pick up my prescription! Seriously? Another HOUR consultation to pick up a prescription after JUST meeting with her for an entire HOUR two days prior? When I asked her if I could just swing by and get the prescription without making an appointment - seeing as though I was there Saturday and she wanted to write my prescription on Tuesday, she said that she ""does not stand in her waiting room and write prescriptions for free."" She is seriously bats. I could go on and on. Don't go see her. Pros: NONE! Cons: Everything! more

excellent psychiatrist 5/11/2008

i had never seen a psychiatrist before and didnt know what to expect, but dr taylor was very kind and welcoming and made me feel comfortable about it. she helped me with my problems and suggested alternative treatments besides medication that i was very pleased with. overall she was very knowledgeable and obviously keeps up with all the latest information. go see her, she changed my life. more

Horrible Psychiatrist 4/24/2008

I called on a Tuesday, and she ""happened"" to have a cancellation later that afternoon. This should have been the first clue, but I was in need of help. She asked me to verify my insurance first before confirming the appointment, which I was quite happy to do. However, when I got there, she wasn't even there. Ten minutes after our scheduled appointment time, she arrived, had me fill out paperwork, and then spent 30 minutes trying to understand how my insurance co-payment worked. She wanted me to give her an additional credit card ""just in case there were uncovered charges."" I refused, flat out. She was more worried about money then about taking care of the patient right in front of her. Pros: couldn't find any Cons: punctuality, unable to provide therapy more

Don't See This Woman 3/26/2008

I agree with all of the below, seriously. I saw this woman for about 6 months, and she NEVER once offered me any advice about anything. She only nodded her head, laughed like a dingbat, and said ""oh"" all the time. Pros: Her office is nice Cons: She is not even a decent psychiatrist more

Decide for yourself 3/12/2008

It's evident that Dr. Taylor is new to a solo practice. She is very smart and has a good bedside manner. She is not very considerate of her patient's schedules and restraints. She has a lot to learn about running a solo practice. She also needs a little bit more compassion and understanding. Pros: Good beside manner Cons: Lacks business professionalism more

CRAZY WOMAN!!!!!!!!! 2/25/2008

OH MY GOSH!!! Pros: NOTHING Cons: EVERYTHING more

This woman is a dingbat 11/13/2007

Completely agree with the other review of Linda Taylor. Her sessions are not helpful. She's no good at diagnosing you with anything. She gives no helpful advice --just listens to what you've decided to do and writes you out prescriptions and then suggests some more pharmaceuticals (which she probably has been paid to push) and then writes you out some more prescriptions. Pretty much how each of my sessions has gone is that I research pharmaceuticals for hours and hours and then meet with her and she writes me a prescription for each one I've researched and then sends me home to do some more research on my own before deciding what to get filled because she has shed absolutely no light on the subject. When I finally did choose one to stick with, she only wrote me a one month supply. She refuses to refill prescriptions by phone or write them for more than one month at a time (and this is not for a controlled substance). I had to go back in to see her to get a refill, and during this visit she tried to get me on some other prescriptions when all I wanted was a refill. So she sent me home with another 5 prescriptions. She also never returns phone calls unless you're making an appointment. If you have an emergency, forget about it. If you need to cancel, you're just gonna have to hope she got the message and isn't gonna charge you because she won't return the call to confirm(even if you call a week in advance) . Pros: nice waiting room, resonably nice lady Cons: pill pusher, never near on time, not helpful, doesn't return phone calls more

This woman is a dodo 4/12/2007

The only positive thing about Linda Taylor's practice is that she is available for evening appointments. If you are hoping to find someone who will ask you about your problems, listen to them, and give you any sort of suggestions, you should quick search someone else's name. She is extremely slow in all her mannerisms, so sessions are not at all productive, she is always late in calling you into the office by 15-20 minutes, and she mostly talks about her own life experiences and likes/dislikes. But the most shocking thing is that she was unable to communicate to me any knowledge that she might have about psychology. Pros: Evening appointments Cons: Everything else more
