This bar used to be pretty fun and layed back. It is still layed back, but fun left the door a long time ago. It has become so layed back it is essentially asleep. Their sliders however could be the best in the city and are the ONLY reason my friends and I go there from time to time. I would recommend going there in the summer because you can guarantee the small outdoor area will be empty like the rest of the bar or to get sliders. Great Spot for Food and Fun 7/7/2002

I have been going to Tavish at least once a week and have tried a good deal of the menu items. Best bets...Sandwiches, Pizza and some of the Pasta dishes. The staff is always cordial and the drinks keep flowing! Great sangria and good specials most nights. A definite must try with a wonderful beer garden. Pros: Great Food, Nice crowd more

Hip - less-Lincoln Park, more Bucktown 6/6/2002

This was one cool place - the staff was super nice and the crowd was laid-back and pretty hip. I loved and have told several people thatif they are looking for a great place to hang-out in Lincoln Park that doesn't require a Polo shirt and khakis, this is your place. more
