We had rented out a condo for a year by a real estate agent known as David Chen. after our year was up, we had to move to California. we gave him our forwarding address and told him to send our deposit money there. well, he did not send any deposit money and he did not return any phone calls, emails, or answer his phone for us. to make a long story short, he lied to my husband and I about why he used our deposit money. about a year later, we finally had time to straighten it out and take him to court for the deposit. He convienently sent us a check for 525 .when our deposit was 850, and when we threatened to take him to court. he sent a invoice of what he used the other money for and the items listed were specifically noted in the lease contract that HE had to pay for the things he listed, such as the water heater which he charged us 150 to fix. and toilet flushing repair (if there is such a thing) which is normal wear and tear (which nothing was wrong with when we left), and, general maintenaince and touchups which is also normal wear and tear. when we call him to ask about these deductions he got very upset and said that he did not have to show us receipts or answer any more of our questions and for us to stop bothering him. then he hung up on us. so we are in the process of taking him to court and I just wanted to warn everyone to NOT USE THIS REALTOR!!!!!! he will scam you too. \r
His realty company is also very shady. the company goes under numerous names such as investment team inc., bankers international, and tasek realty. we call bankers international and they told us david did not work there any more. and when we got the letter from david, it said investment team inc., so we called them and they said that david wasn't there at the moment but they gave us his cell number. when we found out they were the same place we knew somthing was probably going on. \r
PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES WE DID!!!! DO YOUR RESEARCH ON REALTORS!!!!!!!
