I love this place! Sure, it cost $60 for a cut, and I left a $10 tip and bought product too, but it was worth EVERY PENNY! First, they brought me tea before my stylist came out....

A good cut, (on the expensive side) but my sytlist was late and rushed and chatty/anxious. Tea was fabulous. I was a bit put off with the feeling that marketing/sales was a big part of the cut. Pros: good cut Cons: commercial more

I highly recommend going anywhere else but here. 11/17/2007

The receptionist and stylists here are just plain rude. I waited 5 minutes to be helped by the receptionist and then the stylist was rude to me for being late. To top it off I have had better cuts at great clips and it is way overpriced for what little they do. I really advise everyone to find a better business. If you wanted to be treated rudely there are plenty of places you can go to and they will do that for free. Pros: Aveda products. That is it. There are stores that also sell Aveda products. Cons: Terrible service more

Tangles: the best place for, GREEN HAIR and poor service! 5/12/2007

I went into tangles to have my hair highlighted. The girl who did my hair gave me a combination of blonde and ash highlights she combined them incorrectly giving me a GREEN tint to my hair. as soon as I left, my my boyfriend was shocked, I looked in the mirror and cried. myfamily kept asking me if I have been swimming a lot because of the way may hair looked. I was disappionted. i returned to tangles and asked them to fix my hair so it wouldn't appear green. the owner John refused without reason. After asking and calling repeatedly to end my suffering (lets just say I was getting a lot of looks from people on the street) he agreed to refund my money (which i didn't want) I just wanted my hair to look normal! It turns out after going to 3 shops, no one would touch my hair, it was too complicated, i had to travel to san francisco to have it fixed, it turned out, John the owner of tangles simply took the easy way out, he knew my hair was distroyed and that it would cost him too much time/money to fix it. There were so many highlights in my head that needed to be fixed, it took $450.00 and 4 hours, and Yosh for Hair in sanfrancisco had to fix my color literally HAIR by HAIR. I later learned the girl who did my hair had only worked there three days! I am shocked that tangels handled my problem this way. I highly recommend going elsewhere for service! the place may look nice and charge a lot, but that doesn't mean quality. DON"T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! DON"T TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR HAIR. Cons: the owner is rude they refused to fix the problem, simply wrote me a check to go away more

Love this place 4/3/2007

I love this place! Sure, it cost $60 for a cut, and I left a $10 tip and bought product too, but it was worth EVERY PENNY! First, they brought me tea before my stylist came out. Then my stylist, John, played with my hair a little while we talked about what I wanted. Then, he gave me a head and neck massage AWSOME! Then he cut my hair and his assistant dryed and styled it. They were both totally personable, easy to chat with or just sit back quietly with as they ran their hands thru your hair. Then when I was finished, the assistant took me back to the front and recommended a conditioner and a lip balm. I bought them both, and a lip liner too, not because she pressured me, but because i had been thinking about trying a new lip color and getting a new bottle of conditioner and somehow she instictively knew. I felt completely pampered and like my business was really wanted, and that the spa staff really wanted to help me. I stopped back just a couple weeks ago to buy a pencil sharpener (because Aveda liners don't fit in standard sharpeners), and they were still great, even tho I was only spending five bucks. And I love all the products, but I don't have to go on about how great Aveda is. I can't wait till my next appointment! Pros: Aveda product, awsome service, headrubs Cons: restroom detached from salon in another part of building more
