Tan Your Hide

No one gets into a contract thinking they will need to cancel it, so when my husband got orders and I tried to cancel the membership unsuccessfully I was terribly upset. What company can call themselves service oriented when they are willing to charge people for MONTHS AND MONTHS of services the individual will not be able to use. I was told that due to our situation I was not even allowed the $50 cancellation option offered to military. I think this is a poor way to treat people who protect and serve. Secondly, after tanning in 4 different states, cities of varying size, I can say that this place is at least $10/mo overpriced..... Even after the military discount! (have never been to a place that didn't allow cancellations, either!). On a side note, when communicating with the management, the only option was through email- not phone or in person. This is unusual and very frustrating when the correspondence is full of grammar, punctuation, and general tone errors. Learn to communicate! Overall, such a poor experience. more

Tanned for three days and got more color than anywhere else I have tanned. Super clean, super nice, and what a tan! very happy more

I tan a lot. I have tanned here and other states. These are the best in town. They have great pricing, great beds, great staff. I am military so I move around a lot. I got the month to month membership, so when I do need to leave I can just cancel. NO hassle. Many buds tan here too. Thanks Tan Your Hide for doing it right. more

I have been using tab your hide for 6 months. I never had trouble with the beds. They were always clean. The staff was not good or really bad. They took my name and about half the time asked me how long I wanted (the other half they just decided how long). Also I never new what level of bed they were going to give me. They could have a level 2 open but give me a level 1 then they next person (my husband) they would give a level 2. When we signed the contact my husband and I ready the contract completely. There was nothing about military having to pay an early termination fee. According to the Service Members Civil Rights Act for a service member to pay a early termination fee the must sign a waiver for theIr SCRA rights in a desperate document from the contract and it must be in 12 point font. When we received orders to move overseas we informed them. What we were told was that we should just let our contract run out (3 months for me and 3 months for my husband at $25 each month) because of the fee. When we asked what fee she informed me they have a reduced rate early termination fee for members of the military and there families of $50 each. When I questioned her regarding the SCRA she said "they" don't have to follow that law! I don't recommend this business for service members and there families because they are more than willing to try to take money from service members during a time of financial need. more

I just have to say that the person writing the review about how terrible Tan Your Hide's cust service is, is not representing the military very well. I too have a long term membership with them, and I too am a military member. They told me if I ever got PCS orders they would allow me to cancel if I paid the $50.00 fee. NO PROBLEM!! I chose this membership, and the 50.00 is way less than being in a membership that I wont use. I tan in all levels of the beds, and they are the best in town BY FAR!! be greatful they dont sue you for the rest of your membership. Why dont you represent the military and pay your bills!! more

This place is way overrated. They have terrible management by someone named "Brandy" who claims to be the head manager over every tan your hide and their regular beds suck. Their mega beds stop getting you tan after about a month and the only bed worth using is the stand up, which is extremely hot. We had to move due to military orders, which they told us we could cancel at any time if we gave them a copy of these with no problems. Apparently that was a lie because now they are going to continue to charge my account unless I pay a $50 cancelation fee even though I had to choice to move. They are total jerks and I would not reccomend getting a membership here. They also messed up my bank account info when I first got a membership here and wouldn't let me tan bc they said the payment didn't go through, completely embarrassing me in the store. Then they found it was their fault but didn't really apologize. This place sucks more

I had an excellent tanning experience with the tan your hide salon. It is a very low price per month and you can get a discount if you are a military family member. There are many locations to choose from so there may be one close to your work or home. Gotta love convenience! more
