We've been in Tampico twice only to be treated with exceptional rudeness both times and making us regret having been in at all, much less having given it a second chance. The woman (owner?) treated us like an intrusion while she chatted loudly with her friends and on the phone. She never acknowledged us on the first visit, and during the second visit aggressively offered to answer questions (while remaining on the phone) and then actively chased us out when she got off- telling us she had to close, while other customers remained undisturbed. We're clean and polite, and had such limited interaction with her that I can only presume that she decide we weren't her kind of customer and weren't worth being treated cordially. I was born and raised in San Francisco and am embarrassed for antiques dealers and jewelry mavens that someone like that is doing business here.
