I guess it was all the hype about this joint that may have led to my disappointment. It was breakfast time, if that means anything, and I have never tried their famous Norteno. For me, the measure of a Mexican restaurant is their salsa and their tortillas. Yes, Taco Taco does make their own tortillas, both corn and flour, but I found the flour tortillas to be doughy and too elastic -- almost rubbery. They also tended to absorb a lot of liquid and fell apart before I had finished my taco. This rarely happens with flour tortillas. The salsa was a bright red concoction that belied its blandness. No spice in the way seasonings, heat or the biting flavor of garlic and cilantro. I didn't taste much onion in there, either. The place is tiny so avoid the rush hours.
Pros: Value, Service
Cons: Small Size, Weak Salsa, Doughy Tortillas
