Totally enjoyed our stay at the Gabe. Staff was exceptionally helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely interested in our well-being. Always willing to go well out of their way to make our stay unique and memorable --- from making last-minute reservations for us to scootering down to the docks to return our left-behind sunglasses. Grounds and rooms are delightfully mid western, comfortable, and clean. Especially nice is their 'green' consciousness and their 'enjoy life' philosophy. Very conveniently located and within easy walking distance of most points of interest. Can't wait to go back and will highly recommend to those who want a refreshingly different (and non-corporate) hotel experience.
