I had high expectations that were not fulfilled. Food was mediocre and overpriced. Cheese was bright orange! Do not get quesadilla with mushrooms. Mushrooms came from a can!! more

Picked this place at random and was very pleasantly surprised. Great flavour and portions for cheap, and a big variety of spice. more

I have been eating at T-Mex since it first opened as San Loco. I have even visited there locations in other cities. Today was the worst service visit I have ever had there. The girl behind the counter was bothered to even take our order. When my friend ask for a lemon or lime for her fish taco the girl just shrugged, rolled her eyes and walked away. When asked again at the counter she claimed they didn't have any because she would have to cut some. This is the kind of attitude that plagues Miami Beach. The tip is included in the final price so make sure you're happy with the service before this girl gets a penny. more

I moved to Miami from Wisconsin where there are a lot of Mexican restaurants and this place made me feel at home. This place has the best Taco I've ever had in Miami.Maybe the best taco anywhere. It used to be called Taco Loco but it's still the same. more

Great late night, but a bit pricy 10/10/2008

VERY late last night, (in a bit of a drunken haze) I was delighted to find Tmex open, a friendly face at the counter. I was so happy to be eating the Guaco loco chicken taco- (a hard shell stuffed to the brim with goodness with a soft shell wrapped around, stuck with guac) that I almost forgave the price. $12 for two tacos. They're tacos! $12?! Although she did throw in a mini spanish lesson for free... Pros: open late Cons: expensive more

First Stop in South Beach 8/13/2007

I live in New England, but I go to Miami quite often. When I am on the plane, I am already thinking about San Loco, I cannot wait to go there for their delicious tacos and burritos. If I go there for five days, I am sure that I go there at some point four out of the five, even if it is at 3am at the end of the evening. Their tacos are perfect; I can't even choose between soft or hard shell, so I have to get both. Pros: everything, but mainly the fabulous food Cons: ladies room, but really, just plan around it more

Great local joint 11/14/2006

Great place to grab a quick bite to eat. Tasty tacos, great sauce. Quesadilla a must to order, and always get an ice cold beer. Make this a stop for lunch or dinner. Pros: Good food, fair price Cons: bathrooms more

Good Mexican, Great Service 7/16/2002

I really enjoy eating here when I have one of my infrequent Mexican cravings. The food is very fresh, the sauces are terrific and the service was the best. Probably the best meal I had for the money on South Beach. Hopefully with continued business, they will take some more chances with their menu - maybe some pumpkin tamales or ancho brownies? Pros: Hot sauces, Great beer selection more
