T-Shirt Orgy is located in a building one block from the UC Berkeley campus and shares the building with Bear Basics and Sway. They have the largest collection of tshirts in the bay area, from shirts ranging in polical interests to celebrities to fantastic graphics. The customer service is really good and they have sizes for all ages. more

Bear Basics 1/4/2006

Bear Basics is located one block from the campus in the same building as Sway and the Tshirt Orgy. They sell a lot of Cal clothes and souvenoirs as well as things with bay area, oakland, berkeley, san francisco, richmond, etc on it. The service is really friendly and the store always has good deals, especially on tshirts. more

awesome store 8/19/2005

it's a three in one deal- downstairs is packed solid with men's tees, all with funky designs and sayings, ground floor is where you get your standard Berkeley attire, and upstairs is for the girls. Since I'm a girl, I spend most of my time upstairs. They have a great selection of clothing and shoes that you can't find elsewhere, at excellent prices. They have lots of cute bags and jewelery too. more

Cal merchandise galore 8/14/2005

This store, located on the bottom floor of a multiple-story, multiple-store building on Telegraph Ave., boasts an impressive line of Cal logo apparel and other memorabilia. It has basically everything you would want to have with a Cal logo, and for the most part, the stuff here is a bit cheaper than at the campus store. The store itself looks a bit trendier and hip than the other Cal merchandise stores (such as the Bancroft Clothing Company) in South side of the Berkeley campus, which adds to the shopping experience. This is the first place to go if you're a die-hard Cal fan like myself. more

Great place to buy Cal gear, or pick up some fun clothes 8/10/2005

As a student at Cal, I used to shop at Bear Basics frequently. On their main floor, they have tons of Cal merchandise, including clothing, accessories, knick knacks, hats, and more. Upstairs is a nice selection of trendy clothes for women. I used to find some really cool stuff for really good prices up there. Sometimes they even carried some vintage pieces. Their basement is called the "T-Shirt Orgy" and is full of t-shirts that run the gamut from fun, quirky, sarcastic, band shirts, TV references, etc. If you like screened t-shirts with funny or controversial things on them, you're likely to find something to suit your style down there. more

The main floor of Bear Basics is all CAL products - t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, key chains, even baby clothes - celebrate your soon-to-be alma matter or send a gift home to the folks to make paying your tuition a bit less painful. Downstairs is a mecca of t-shirts sporting flippant sayings and pop-culture references. Head to the second floor to Futura for hip women's clothes and tada! all your shopping is done. more
