Helsel's Hardware: This place is dirty and the lady at the front desk was extremely rude. Not professional at all and doesn't care for their customers or new customers. She rolled her eyes several times as I was talking. For a business man to walk in ask for help and get told that he was "full of it". Is completely unnecessary and down right ignorant. I am not a mechanic nor do I pretend to be one. After getting talked down to, belittled, and down right insulted in-front of the owner/manager I will gladly drive hours to ANY other place. I can't believe this place still gets business after my first and last time at this local business. I'm all for local business in Blair county however, people like this need to find a new place to work that they don't have to deal with the public. I can't recommend this place to anyone. There are other True Value hardware stores that sell and rent products and equipment. I will gladly drive further or pay more if it means talking to a True Value employee that will honestly put in an effort to see all their customers happy and satisfied. Thank you. more

WHEN WE HAD OUR PICNIC WE NEEDED TENTS FOR OUR PARTY. WE CHECKED AROUND AND THE BEST PRICE WAS FROM HELSELS HARD WARE. THAY HAD TABLES AND CHAIRS TO RENT AT A GREAT PRICE. THEY EVEN CAME AND SET UP OUR TENT BEFORE OUR PARTY AND AFTER. THE TENT WAS HUGE AND HELD EVERY ONE INCLUDING OUR BAND AND TABLES. THE PRICE WAS GOOD CONSIDERING WHAT WAS INVOLVED IN PUTTING UP AND TAKING DOWN OF THESE THINGS. I LIKE THIS HARDWARE STORE TO PICK UP ALL THE LITTLE THINGS I FORGET. THEY KEEP A LARGE INVENTORY OF STOCK ITEMS. more
