First time Ok, Second time Not so much 8/6/2011

We went and tried out T1 on a whim one day and liked the Tech component of the tables on the right side of the restaurant. I think there are 7 in a tight space but all in all it was pretty fun. We enjoyed ourselves and were excited for the next visit. We went again a couple of weeks later and were literally barked at upon entering. The chick at the door was rude and they should probably rethink her being a greeter. We were asked if we had a reservation and because of the time of day, of course we didn't. My 8 y/o likes the high-tech tables and because of the unavailability we turned around and left. This could be a cool little place, if every table were high tech with the exception of a few (instead of vice versa). Other than that, it's Tapas..so a little bit of food for an exorbitant price. The tables made it worth it, but I will definitely think twice before going again. The employee at the door left a bad taste in my mouth. more

Might have been good, but we didnt get to find out 7/19/2011

Menu looked interesting, so my husband and I thought we would give this place a try. We were greeted by an unsmiling woman who snapped, "Can I help you?" and when we asked for a table for two she snapped again, "reservations?". We did not have reservations at 4:30 on a Tuesday night and she looked annoyed by this fact. We were taken outside and sat and waited for almost 15 minutes to be greeted. No one came, so we got up and left. I doubt anyone even noticed. So, we made our way over to Dressler's which was much more accommodating and had a delicious meal. more

AWESOME 2/1/2011

A couple of friends and myself and my boyfriend went to T1 together. First of all the booths are where it is at. The touch screen menus, being able to plug in our iPod and listen to whatever we wanted, being able to take pictures on the TV and email them to ourselves, playing games on the touch screen menu- ALL of these things make it so much more fun than any restaurant. While this is a tapas restaurant, the food is absolutely amazing. The eggplant dish was my favorite by far! The cocktails were delicious, and our server was fantastic. I will definitely continue to come and visit this restaurant. more

not worth the money 2/20/2010

went there with hubby after reading some mixed reviews. was expecting something really hip and high tech cause another user mentioned it. well, they only had 1 table that had the computerized tech. the space is very small, not intimate more like hard to breathe. the food was pretty good but very expensive. i have no problem paying for good food, but not 14 bucks for 2 pieces of bite size fish. being this is tapas, i would say a minimum of 2 plates per person. drinks are water down. waitress did not come to our table until we were ready for the check. but i still tiped her 20%. overall not worth the money. will not be returning. Pros: variety Cons: pricey, water down drinks, cramped space more

Never Seen Anything Like This..... 8/17/2009

If you're a tech savvy, food buff who loves live music, wine bars and the environment, you need to check out T1 Tapas. At first glance it may seem like your ordinary restaurant, minus the high definition projectors and trendy styling. But sit down at one of the "tech-booths" and prepare to engage in a VERY different dining experience. The table is an enormous touch screen menu with detailed descriptions of menu items including pictures and pricing. When you've decided what to eat, the in-table computer morphs into a user-friendly entertainment center with movie trailers, radio stations, sports channels and picture slide shows. (I actually met here for a business meeting and plugged in my laptop to use the wide screen TV above our booth as a display screen.) Speakers are implanted into the seats and headrests and have adjustable volume controls for privacy. With all the entertainment possibilities I was pleasantly surprised to find the food was actually, very good. They had several healthy, organic options with generous portions and also strive to support local farmers. Add to that a great beer and wine list, several hot tea options and live music on select days of the week...I was almost overwhelmed at how many themes they had going. That being said, they somehow embrace them all quite successfully. So...barring a major computer crash or operations failure, T1 is a definite winner. Too bad there's not a place like this in uptown. Pros: Techy gadgets, excellent food, eco-friendly Cons: No second location more
