Swedish Automotive has good communication, and does the job right. But they are fairly expensive compared to other options in Seattle. They have very good quality. I will more than likely continue using them. more

I've been using Swedish Automotive for about ten years, and they show genuine concern about my car. I always feel like they're being honest with me. The environment and the professionalism with which they work is extraordinary. Their service is really convenient, living is West Seattle. They have a high level of professionalism, and they are very knowledgeable about the vehicles they service. They stay within their realm of expertise, so they don't shoot from the hip. They know exactly what they are doing, and they are very well educated about the cars they're working on. more

I found Swedish Automotive when another shop couldn't solve the problem of why my car kept stalling. I liked their attitude, their cleanliness, the waiting room, their ability to provide a loner that's usable for a reasonable price, and they just seem to do anything that they need. I just hate that they're where they are but I'm willing to drive from south Seattle to west Seattle for their services. more

I've been doing business with Swedish Automotive for probably 25 years. I'm on my third Volvo. How careful they are is really important to me. They go over all the details of my car every time I take it in there and they don't recommend I have something done unless it really needs to be done. I just find them really a pleasure to do business with. They're really great customer service people. more

We have been using Swedish Automotive for about seven years, maybe more. As soon as our Volvo's warranty expired, we have been taking it exclusively to Swedish Automotive. They're able to squeeze us in for any service we need. They really don't do anything wrong. They also go out of their way for their customers. One time, we were going on a trip and needed our car serviced. They went as far as driving us to the airport, and by the time we got back home, our car was fixed. On another occasion, they picked me up and dropped me off at my office along with the rental car! They're extremely conscientious and very good at what they do. I would 100% recommend them. more

Swedish Automotive is an honest company. We had a car that needed a lot of work done, and they recommended selling it instead of putting more money into it. We took their advice because we trust them. Because this is our business, we now only look for cars that they are able to work on: Subarus, SAABs, Volvo, etc. It's been such a good experience. Basically, Swedish Automotive has done the regular maintenance on my Saab and on top of that fixed some reoccurring problems. I've had some issues with engine problems and they've always taken the car and quickly fixed it. They've been very transparent about what the problem is and what it will cost me. They're good with both general maintenance and ongoing issue resolution. I've been with them for three or four years. The location is convenient for me and the quality of service makes me go back. They are efficient and friendly. more

Swedish Automotive is great. We used to live in the neighborhood where they are located, and although we have moved 30 miles away we still go back there because we like them so much. When you go to the dealership it feels like you are number and they are more about selling you things, but at Swedish Automotive they are more about service. They spend more time on the phone with you, they checkup with you after the work is done and they are nice people. more

I have already recommended Swedish Automotive many times. They have done anything from routine oil changes to lights replaced, brakes, (front and rear), timing belt repair and alignments. They have done a lot to my car in the past few years and once I found them I haven't needed to try anywhere else. They offer consistent, up front, reasonable pricing and repairs. They are friendly and polite and always clean my car for free! more

I bought a Saab, and I live over in West Seattle. I was searching for a good place to take the car to have it serviced, and they were closest to me. I went to them, and I've been pretty satisfied every since. They are a little more expensive but the work is very good. They are prompt and helpful. They are good at clarifying things, and answering questions in a way that makes sense to people who don't know mechanic language. They were able to identify the problems and recommend solutions. They recommend different approaches and options for us to choose from. In that perspective we felt comfortable in knowing what needs to be fixed right away and what can wait until later. The only complaint is each time I bring it in, my wallet really hurts. more

I recently purchased a classic Saab 900 with an unknown service history. I brought the car to Swedish Automotive for a top to bottom assessment of the car. Jeremy Philippi, the Service Advisor was very helpful in explaining all the things needing attention... From the items needing immediate attention to service issues I could put off for awhile, which took a bit of the sting out of the considerable expense of rehabbing the old Saab (hey, I knew going in these cars aren't cheap to maintain!). As usual, the loaner cars are an invaluable bonus to me, and all things being equal, are one of the reasons for choosing Swedish Automotive over other Saab specialist garages in the Seattle area. No, they are not the cheapest place in town, but I will continue to bring my old Saab back to Swedish for servicing, because I trust their work and value their emphasis on customer service. more

Swedish Automotive has been totally reliable. They are very accommodating with either talking about the car or getting me to a cafe while they work on my car. I had one issue with something in the panel being changed after my last service, but they said they would fix that. more

I've been to some other places in the same neighborhood and had mediocre experiences. Everything at Swedish Automotive has been awesome. They have great customer service. They even gave us a ride home when we took our vehicle in. Everything was fixed in a timely manner. I recommended them to a friend, and she took her vehicle there also. She required a part that wasn't in, and they went above and beyond for her. more

I can't imagine being more satisfied with the work that Swedish Automotive has done and the way they treated me as a customer. I have have spent over $15,000 on a car worth $1,500. I have come away from the experience feeling that I did exactly what I wanted to do. They support you all of the way. They warned and gave advice so I could make my own decision, which I did, and I couldn't be happier about the outcome. So there you have it. They even called me at the end of the work to make sure I remembered to check in with my insurance company, because if the car was totaled, I wouldn't get to recover what they put into it. I can't imagine a better group of people to work with. Their customer service engenders trust, confidence, and it is absolutely intuitive. They were able to sense where I was coming from and able to do some over-the-top things that most people could get bounced by. They were very careful and deliberate. I never thought they would come up short. I would recommend them to anyone without qualification. Their customer style and ability to handle customers is totally honest and open-handed, not contrived. They're fabulous. more

Swedish Automotive has helped me with many things, including general service when it's needed, flushing the gear, and just anything I've needed done on my car. There is only one thing that they have not fixed; the vibration in my car that won't go away. Overall though, they have a good group over there and they are very helpful. more

I bought the car I have from Dave in 2006, it barely has 50,000 miles on it now so I'll probably have it forever. I won't take it anywhere else. I highly recommend him, he is very honest. Swedish Automotive is probably the best place I've ever dealt with and I'm 71 years old. He's very attentive and has given me some look overs for free. He has always been available on short notice, and in emergency situations he has dealt with my situation expediently and professionally. more
