Run away for your life... 2/9/2011

The store looks filthy and it seems to be that majority of products there have been already expired for a while. The store owner Svetlana ( I believe she named this store after herself) will suggest you the same root or herb for bronchitis, diarrhea, depression and whatever else you have. The person doesn't have any medical background, no basic knowledge of anatomy, very pushy and even suggested that I may have plague... ?!@# My advise: Do not even come nearby that store unless you are hungry for a cheap laugh show more

Please don't here. 8/20/2008

The Ayurvedic doctor who works here is not even accredited and does not even have any educational experience in ayurveda. When I asked his about his education he always ignored the question. Not to look rude but all wanted to know is that the person helping me was at least certified to do so. After paying a very high amount for the consultion. ($125) all the doctor did was give me ziplocks of tea for my insomnia. It looked like he had opened another product in the store and put it in a ziplock and charged me $72.95 with tax for the products. I recommed that no one buys opened packages of any product, and instead look to a professional to treat you instead of some who is not educated in this feild. more

Why 1star??? 4/2/2008

Hello guys, I just read the reviews that you posted and I disagree, I shop at this herbs store almost every month. I enjoy coming to this store from the first time they opened their doors 18 years ago... and I meet a lot of people there.. All their products are unusual and very hard to get around the city. more

Our visit to the herb store 3/27/2006

We were excited when we found an Indian herb store in our neighborhood, however, we were quickly surprised and disappointed. There seems to be no discussion about what things costs, until check-out time. We bought some tea which was prepared for us on the spot, and then eventually found out that we were charged over $60 dollars for a very, very large bag. But nobody ever informed us of how much it would have cost. It is too bad that they try to take advantage of the customer. I agree with the previous post. more

Iffy experience 11/3/2005

I went for the $35 dosha consultation. The doctor asked focused questions that made me trust he knew what he was talking about-- ""do you have a dry mouth?"" or ""does your body jerk before you sleep?"" He dispensed general advice about how to live my life (""be moderate in all things""), but didn't suggest how to emend my eating or sleeping habits. I expected more advice about particular things I could do to balance my system. The doctor prescribed 7 supplements. He never asked what my budget was, or if I wanted supplements period. (I had come to the shop for a consultation, not necessarily treatment.) His prescribed goods cost $270. A sandwich-sized Ziploc of tea? $37.50! The prepackaged supplements could be resold. I skipped em, but bought the tea and elixir hed blended. I wish I'd been warned about the cost beforehand. more
