I must have just been lucky to choose to go to Sushiden on the same night that I was to see the movie Hero. After watching the movie, I realized my evening was in perfect harmony. The movie, which focuses on the power and honor in seeking pure truths seemed to match perfectly with our dinner. Starting with great cold Sake, each piece of fish was perfect and delicious - bringing a single wonderful flavor to my mouth like the resounding single notes made by the blades crashing in the movie. We also had Matsasuki (sp?) mushrooms served "steamed". Actually, they are not steamed but mixed with chicken, shrimp and fish in a teapot, where you sip the flavored soup until it is gone and then eat the ingredients, wonderful.
All in all a fabulous experience. One note of caution, this type of adventure is not cheap. We dropped $170 for two, so only go when you are ready to splurge.
