I love this place! My fiancee' & I are regulars. It may not be as fancy-shmancy as alot of sushi places, but I'd rather come here any day of the week. The owner, Mida (spell check?), always greets us as if we were family. Actually,I've noticed that she does this with just about everyone who walks through her door & knows them on a first-name basis. There are a few restaurants that we frequent regularly, & none of them ever recognize us...even though we are in there several times a month or even week. They greet us as they would any random customer who walks in. It's not like that at Sushi Terrace. Kind of like that Cheers theme...I'd much rather go where somebody knows my name! :) The service is extremely friendly, fast, & efficient. The food is always good (their spicy yellowtail is to die for). I have recommended this place to several of my friends/family & they thought it was really good too! Pros: Too many to name! Cons: Sometimes they play some goofy sounding music...which isn't really a con at all. more

Great sushi, friendly staff! Have tried a ton of sushi restaurants and I rank this one toward the top! Fresh fish, good size rolls, a definite winner! Pros: Fresh fish, friendly staff Cons: Would like to see more interesting rolls and a wider variety of sushi on the menu. more

Yuck Yuck Yuck! Don't Eat Here! 7/16/2008

This was a horrible experience! The only thing we were welcomed by was the stinky smell. Our reluctant waitress eventually sat us at a table located next to the only other person in the restaurant. Between the bad smell and even worse seating arrangements we should have seen the warning signs on the wall (literally!...the ambiance is a little strange). The salad brought to the table was full of water for some reason and the soup was cold. Our sushi was brought to the table and we were optimistic however as I picked up my first piece of raw fish I noticed it smelled bad and was kept at room temperature... YUCK! I had also ordered some chicken and was greeted with my first bite with some nice ground up chicken bones. When I complained to the waitress she did not seem to care and after I raised a fuss she said someone would be by to talk with me about the situation. Some guy in a dirty cook uniform came out and asked if the bones had injured my mouth, I told him no and he did not offer much apology only a duplicate chicken meal - but I passed on the offer since the thought of a repeat experience disgusted me. I asked for the bill and believe it or not the receipt was full price and there was nothing done to rectify this horrible dining experience. Moral of the story: Bad food, bad service and undesirable ambiance. Please don't risk your health or waste any of your money at this slum! Pros: We got out alive (as long as the sushi doesn't get me) Cons: The place, the food, the service, the smell and apparently the kitchen's refrigeration more

Gross Sushi 6/10/2008

We are seriously considering a trip to the ER. LOL...Actually we have had sushi in many places around Denver, and I can not even believe I ate at this joint, and I mean joint. It's dirty, stinky, and outdated. The sushi smelled like the northwest coast at low tide. (I have a rumbly in my tumbly). My brain said "don't do it," but my belly said "feed me". Now I know I should have definitely listened to the part of my body that contains the brain!! Service-sketchy. We told the server the sushi was not too good, and she just put her arms up, and gave the expression- "What do you want me to do". And then took off, weird. On a positive note the green tea was good, and the salmon was pretty good. Pros: green tea, unintentionally reclining booth back Cons: food, service, and establishment itself more

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! 4/3/2008

The food was ok, but the service was horrible!!! Just came back from eating there and I'm still mad. We waited 20 minutes for our check (which we didn't even complain about), then the little 15 year old blonde brings our check back to us after she ran our credit card and just slaps it on the table without even saying anything to us. She slaps the check down and walks away. I wasn't expecting her to be my best friend, but she could have at least said... "Thank you!". My husband almost made a scene, but I told him the best thing we can do is to not ever come back to this place. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! more

Sushi Terrace is hidden in a strip mall next to King Soopers. The sushi is fresh and inventive. The rolls are well portioned and very well priced. The nigiri and sashimi are skillfully sliced into large delicious pieces. The Volcano Roll and California Eel Roll are must haves! The service is wonderful. Staff is welcoming, attentive, and extremely nice. We have been to 6 or 7 different places in the area, and the Terrace is by far our favorite! Pros: Excellent quality, service, price Cons: Amnience is fair more

We had been meaning to go for a couple years but never got there. How unforutnate! So many different choices of rolls, great quality fish, wonderful presentation! It is our new place to bring out of town guests and of course we try to get there as often as we can! Eel was cooked just right, salmon and tuna were bright and tastey. And plenty to offer up for the non-sushi eaters in your life too! Pros: Great food, nice service, cozy, usually no wait even on a weekend Cons: Parents that don't control their kids like this place for the value more

Wonderful Sushi 12/30/2006

My family has been eating at the Terrace for many years now and it is with out a doubt our speacial occasion place to eat. My wife is not a sushi eater but loves the service and care James treats us to while dinning. I have tried Sushi from Hawaii to Florida and nothing compares to the service and attention we get at the Terrace. James also takes great care in prepareing a visual and mouth watering delight ever time we dine. You can pay more, but you won't get better sushi in all of Colorado. Tucked away off Holly and County Line, a great treasure for those in the know about all things sushi . Pros: Survice and Food Cons: Ambience more

Great sushi and service in the burbs 2/10/2005

Very happy to have stumbled upon this little non-chain-restaurant gem in the "cookie cutter" neighborhoods of Highlands Ranch. Everything we have tried here (from sashimi to speciality rolls) has been fantastic. The quality and freshness of the fish is top notch. The service is fantastic, the ambience leaves something to be desired but the menu and food quality more than make up for it. If you're in the area and want a good reasonably priced sushi place, this is the one for you. more

How 'bout a roll... 7/15/2003

Tired of the same old menu offerings...? This place is the answer! James, the sushi chef, makes the most amazing and creative rolls ever, and all with a smile! Tiger eye, orgasm, candy cane, sushi terrace - these are a just a few and not a one can you find at Mori's or Sushi Den! Their sashimi is also divine. Can't say enough the people and the food they serve! Pros: Creative sushi menu, Prompt seating, Friendly service more
