Yummy! 2/15/2007

I had never had sushi before that actually contained fish, as I am vegetarian and would normally only get vegetarian sushi rolls. When I went to Sushi Tango I was feeling adventurous so I tried the Philly Roll, and it was absolutely delicious. I also shared an order of the asparagus and edamame, which were both excellent. Our waitress was adorable and very helpful. I told her I was feeling a bit apprehensive about eating raw fish, so she stuck by our table until I'd taken my first bite so she could watch my reaction and make sure I liked it. It was so good and I've been craving more sushi ever since! I don't have anything bad to say about Sushi Tango--great service, great atmosphere, great food! Pros: service, food, ambiance Cons: parking, music was loud which made conversation difficult more

Great atmosphere 2/9/2007

I never like sushi before I went to Sushi Tango. The rolls are fresh, the drinks are fresh, and the workers are so friendly and sociable. My favorite is the Crunchy Maki. And you have to try the Demon Releaser, it's wierd to look at, but it's about a new experience. The price was average as any other Sushi restaurants and the size if the roll are very decent. Not to mention, they also have steak, soups, salads and more. I definately recommend Sushi Tango. I'm so excited they are opening another one in Woodbury. It's much closer to my home, and take out is very convient as well. You have to try Sushi Tango. Pros: Quality of freshness, Knowledge of design and taste Cons: Not enough bathroom stalls more

T-T-T-T-asty Sushi! 1/5/2007

I highly recommend Sushi Tango as one of the best in Minnesota! The atmosphere is perfect for dining and the food there is grreat! I have been to other sushi rest. in New York and it is comparable to theirs but I have to agree it is pricy for the quantity! The service could be a little bit better but the food is Gooood! Pros: Sushi and Atmosphere Cons: Parking/Location more

QUALITY VERY SPOTTY 9/2/2006

Coming from Chicago and Seattle, I have been surprised by what people consider ""great"" sushi in Minneapolis. Have been to most sushi restaurants in Minneapolis, I have been unimpressed, not bad quality but consistently small and overpriced compared to other cities. Thought Sushi Tango was one of the better, but after a second time of receiving very unfresh fish on a slow night, I have reconsidered. After complaining very politely, the owner (Bob?) came out, checked out the fish in the display case and declared it ""fine."" (Although the server, another customer agreed what I was served didn't smell right). To add insult to injury I was charged for this item! Server seemed mortified, but oh well. I guess I will take the next $1000+ plus I spent in this place over last couple years and spend it some place else. Let's hope it's the only consequence from this experience! I guess it's back to Fuji Ya. Pros: Location Cons: Sushi freshness very inconsistent more

Sushi Tango Oysters to Die for 7/27/2006

If you like eating fresh raw oysters...Sushi Tango is the place to be! My mouth is watering right now!! You need to ask them to make the oysters Sushi Tango style. One slurp and you're going to be addicted! The drinks are strong and if you want to fill up your stomach, then go to Old Country Buffet! Pros: Best Oysters in Town, Friendly, Great Drinks Cons: Costly, Slow service more

Mediocre food 6/30/2006

I was not very satisfied after spend $80+ for two. Sushi piece is way too small to enjoy. There isn't single Japanese in the restaurant including the worker and chefs. It is definitely over rated. I wouldn't go back. more

Going downhill 5/8/2006

I have been eating at Sushi Tango since it opened, and it has become increasingly crowded. The sushi used to be the best of town. But over the past year, the pieces have become smaller and the prices have gone higher. Plus, carrot has somehow slipped into pieces that used to have avocado. I will have to find better sushi elsewhere. Pros: Clean, Nice ambience Cons: Smaller pieces, Higher prices more

Great sushi, service a bit spotty 3/29/2006

My wife and I have now been going to Sushi Tango every Friday for a few months. We always sit at the sushi bar and have developed a rapport with the chefs there. We absolutely love the sushi and sashimi that we've had there. The chefs have always provided great service although the other waitstaff can be a bit slow at times. Overall a great place to have a relaxing sushi experience. Pros: Great sushi, Decent happy hour, good variety Cons: spotty waitservice more

Great Happy Hour!!! 3/26/2006

The happy hour starting at 10PM (every night I believe) is such a good deal! The sushi is really fresh for it being so late at night and the service is still very friendly even though once again, it's so late at night. I have never had a bad time there (cross-fingers)! Pros: fresh sushi, good deal more
