Superior Moving & Storage

Perhaps they are okay for a straight move. But if you have to store stuff for a few months before moving, beware. Watch them when they take notes about your furniture. They will note it down as damaged, scratched, wobbly, etc. When I asked them what they were writing down, they just said it was for ID purposes. They use a shorthand you wouldn't be able to understand next to the listing of each piece of furniture. When we complained that some of our stuff was damaged, they claimed it was that way when it was stored, and their false notes proved it. Also, they evidently stacked stuff on our sofa because the cushions were almost flat when we got it back. They lost our ottoman and loaded stuff on the truck that wasn't ours, so there wasn't room for the extra furniture at my apartment. Every time we drive by their place on State Road, we give it the horns, even 30 years later. more

A+ I am a business owner. I shopped around to find an affordable company to relocate my 40' X 10' storaged items to a closer\r facility. Mark the owner told me he also had storage space and he was just across the River in Pa. I already priced other \r storage units before our meeting and was anxious to move quickly. When mark showed me his units I thought this isn't for me. \r So he showed me his new section. I couldn't believe the space he showed me 46' X 16' much larger than my previous rental in NJ for a third the price. I was very pleased with the space. The warehouse sometimes can be very cluttered due to all the moving stuff in and out. Many Tenants don't pay. Hense the bad reviews! They recycle everything almost nothing gets thrown out. I went back and the entire place was cleaned up. So don't let the mess's fool you. He had his electricians install extra lighting and many extra outlets. Hired them to install heavy duty shelving. He is one of the most generous guys I know. He's not quick to kick you out if your behind on the rent as long as he knows your good for it. My friend who usually hired the high end high priced movers for his many office and homes now uses Superior and no one else. He swears by them. Very professional. I just monitored his move a month a go. The team was very rofessional. They also relocated his large 20,000 ft office I have referred them out several times. 2 of my friends now have 7 units. The price is so good it pays to get multiple units. I'll always keep that unit even if I move far \r away. Their guys Tim Howard Brian T-Bone to mention a few are always friendly and help me move things in and out of my \r storage and don't expect tips. You can get a lot done at home for renting his guys by the hour. Sorry for the long review but I was appalled at all the bad reviews. I'm sure some are evicted tenants and competitors! Absolutely disgusted by the management of this company. I will never in my life reccomend them, I'm making sure every single person within the Philadelphia area knows that this company is unprofessional, hires people that are rude and are out to make money at the end of the day. When addressing my concerns about the moving process to a member of the managament team of the company I was spoken down to and told, ""we don't want your business and don't want you to recommend us to anyone"". With that, I will make sure I stand by their request. Mark, the owner which so many people have commented about before is a liar, and and also an unprofessional business owner. It's dissapointing that people feel they must state that they take pride in their company and their customers are their ""children"" and would never mistreat them; however, he unfortunately is unable to treat his customers well either. Again, DO NOT use this company. I would have been better off going on Craigslist. more

The most dishonest moving company that I have ever used! Warning!!! Warning!!!\r \r Do not accept anything they say unless it is in writing and signed by management. They are not to be trusted. They will be great initially, then during your move, when they have possession of your belongings, l look out and get your checkbook out in order o pay the ransom. \r \r Then, good luck getting hold of Marc the owner to discuss the matter. .\r One more law suite coming before the Court of Common Pleas. In looking at court Dockets. I won't be the first by far. Why did I not check them out beforehand? Oh well. \r \r I can only tell you that this is a very dishonest company that can not be trusted and I am quite serious. I had used them in the past over the years and had a few experiences that made me scratch my head just a little bit. but they seemed to get aggressive in their price quote (what a joke). Good luck getting ownership on the phone after the fact!\r \r it gets worse. Believe me. Look around. If you do go against my very strong advice, make sure that you get everything in writing prior to them showing up at your place of business or home. Do what I did not do before you engage their services. Look at the majority of reviews on the various web sites. Minus very few exceptions, a majority have one common theme. Dishonesty!! more

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!!! Do not do it to yourselves! I had problems with this company in all areas of the move. They seemed nice at first when I got my quote, but the only nice person in the place is the owner ""Mark"" who is apparently the only person that can give you a straight answer and may I add is NEVER available to talk on the phone. There is no communication in the office, so the changes that I made to my shipment size was not communicated to the movers at the time of pick up and they accused me of lying, so I ended up proving him wrong via email. \r \r The staff that picked up my furniture was high on drugs and they were VERY rough with my things. Not to mention one of the movers took a pee in my toilet and left the toilet seat up and did not flush the toilet...disgusting. Although they wrapped my things in plastic wrap, every single piece of furniture was scratched and damaged. One box of my things was missing as well and when it came to the drop off time, they tried to charge me $200 dollars on top of my moving cost. One last thing is that was a major problem for me was that they told me that they would be at the drop off sight from 8-1pm, but they did not show up until 11pm!!!! I had to sit in an empty apartment waiting for them ALL DAY!\r \r I will never wish this company upon my worst nightmare and next time I will move my things on my own because it will be easier than dealing with ""superior moving & storage, inc"". This company is ANYTHING but superior. more

I am glad I did not use them. The storage is different from the photo on theier simple website. There is no work procedure at all, no confirmation or forms. I said to one peroson and had to speak again to another one. The storage has no elevator, i was told have to pay $24/hour, and docking fee to move stuff out. Or $80/hour to let them help you move to a new destination....everything was not right, I am glad I gave up earlier. more

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! This is truly the most unprofessional company that I ever had the misfortune of dealing with!!! Mark, the owner will lie and forget what lies he told you, and lie some more the next time you talk with him! I requested a contract or at least a confirmation that detailed the moving. All I received was a vague confirmation, ignoring all the important aspects that should be required when hiring a moving company. My moving date was this Saturday, they asked me to move it to Sunday and also requested cash because business is slow and credit card money takes weeks to receive. I had no problem agreeing to their requests.... I called Wednesday, four days before moving since they haven't been in touch with me. I was disconnected during the first call, I call again and finally have a person answer informing me of the following; ""Ummm, the truck we were going to use for your move has a bad axle and it's going to take a week and a half to get fixed, soooooo, you should start looking in the yellow pages for a new mover and good luck with your endeavor."" My response was, when were you going to inform me of this information? His response, ""Ummmm, I just found out, so good luck with your endeavor.""\r I really don't think he knew the definition of endeavor but he liked the word and I'm sure he thought it made him sound that much more intelligent. \r I saw that someone else said that Mark said, ""Let you fingers do searching through the yellow pages."" So this must be their slogan! Look in the yellow pages, realllllllyyy?\r \r Mark changed the price four times since the first time I spoke with him regarding my move. He lies, lies and then lies some more!! Ladies, he will call you hon and thank you for your business but in the end it is POOOOHHHH! more

Wow! I just had Superior Moving Inc move furniture from Michigan to PA in record time and at a great price with no issues, dings, or delays! They were amazing and very professional. I had several couches, lots of chairs, glass dining table, boxes of dishes and clothes. Superior moved it all with a smile! I'm pretty high maintenance in that I want a professional company with insurance and good Better Business rating...I want them to accept Visa...I want great customer service...I want on-time service even in a snow storm...I want a contract with the agreed upon price and services emailed to me prior to the move. Again, Superior did it with a smile. I highly recommend using Superior for any move since they move long distance and locally. I will use them again residentially and also recommend them to the company I work for. They are that good - tell Mark (one of the owners I think) that 'Shirley' sent you.\r \r more

They moved a full bedroom Thomasville glass top queen sized bedroom suite from one home to another. Stanley and Bill were the best. They called when they were on their way, arrived on time, were efficient and hard working. I highly recommend this company- they do what they say they are going to do, and did it great! more

I've used them for at least half a dozen moves, from a 1-bedroom apartment to a full house. I've only had great experiences with them and last week was the best by far. Heavy furniture, took a long time- these guys were pleasant, positive, hard-working and made what is usually a stressful situation a true pleasure. Thank you guys (T-Bone & crew)! more

I used Superior 4 a 4th time it was a great pleasure using a company that really made a tough situation as I was going through a split up,but they really got rid of my butterflies and calmed my nerves.Frank and Mike and Fridge made a good friend and they also bought my kids and myself lunch,as I was totally broke and they really hustled..Thank you to Marc,and his entire office staff and moving crew... more

Excellent experience!! The movers called the morning of the appointment to let me know when they were a few minutes away to notify me of their expected arrival. The terms of the contract were thoroughly explained in detail. They worked swiftly and professionally. They worked well with each other and were very pleasant (despite it being an exceptionally hot day, in an apartment without air conditioning!). I would not hesitate to recommend Superior movers (and especially Chris and Sunny.) :) more

I used Superior 3 times now. I would not use anyone else! Not only do they do a good job for a good price, the actual movers are nice. Thank you J. Sanders, Greg Jackson, Anton Jones for a good job on 6/20/2012. Another big thank you to Bill Pollard who was on the moving crew on 6/20/2012 but also did my big move on 2/19/2011. This was my second move with Superior Moving and i couldn't be more satisfied. Both times i moved from an apartment to an apartment, and both times the move was done in a timely fashion. The guys were very polite, professional, and courteousy. Just want to show my apprieciation for everything that they have done for me. Great company, highly recommend Superior to anyone looking to move. more
