You'll Get Lost in the Asian Food 4/15/2006

This place is huge! It carries pretty much every Asian food imagineable along with most of the regular staples you'd find at the Shaw's next door. You could easily spend a day here puzzling over all the ingredients for your next meal, and the prices are fantastic. This Super 88 location also has a food court filled with a large variety of Asian food. My favorite pick? The popcorn chicken and boba tea combo at Lollicup. more

Everything ethnic 4/12/2006

This store is great for those who love ethnic foods. They have so many hard to find items for such dishes from the cuisine of Indian, Thai, and Korean foods. They are super cheap and the store is really diverse. I love the prices and the atmosphere. If you need an obscure item for a recipe, super 88 is the place to find it. more

An Asian Superstore! 4/8/2006

When I used to live in Allston, it was always a fun time to visit Super 88, especially if you're into asian foods! They have a food court, complete with thai, japanese, chinese, indian, and every other type of food you can think of. They also have a bubble tea place with great tasting (although not cheap) drinks. The grocery store is also a must see - they carry a million different types of exotic foods at decent prices. I definitely recommend if you're in the area or looking to make some yummy asian food :) more

great Asian market 3/24/2006

This is a great Asian market with all your kitchen needs. They don't have sales because they always sell their products for the cheapest price possible, which is a very good deal for us consumers. The produce is fresh, the fish and meat station is filled with different kinds of meat, and the perishable items are stocked. This is a necessary market to go to if you are going to be cooking. The ailes are cramped and it's not too clean, but at least they'll have what you're looking for. more

Lots of Choices for Food, Great Produce 3/19/2006

The food court is excellent, with every variety of Asian food represented. Some places are cash only (like the Korean stand, which serves a good bi bim bap), but others take credit cards. The prices are very good, which is why it is so popular withthe students from th elocal colleges. The Lollicup Tea Zone (serving bubble teas) is super popular -- the are delicious, but they are super calorie-laden. The Thai place is very good. The Chinese stand always has a crowd and appears to be very authentic. The supermarket has a huge variety of goods, and they have lots of harder to find vegetables and specialty items. The prices are very competitive for the produce items, and they get some of the best quality fruit of anywhere in the area (you can actually find fruit that is ripe and not stone hard). The shop takes all major credit cards. It's a very casual environment. Parking is sometimes frustrating, but since a lot of people come and go quickly through the market, a space always eventually opens up. more

Asian Groceries 1/12/2006

This supermarket has various kind of asian groceries from Japanese, chinese, korean and plenty more. They have 2 big parking lot and they are very easy to park. Besides that, the supemarket also has food courts. Plenty good foods, cheaps and clean. They are located near university area, that is why it is always crowded on weekend. One more thing, the food court do sell alcohol ! more

Yum Yum 8/15/2005

This place is mind blowing. Who would have thought that in downtown Boston, there would be a supermarket with enough Asian food to make it seem like we were in the middle of Bangcock. They have everything you can imagine at great prices. There is also a nice food court that has all sorts of moderately priced goodies. My favorite is Pocky G, a Japanese chocolate that is unique in so many ways. Give it a shot. more

A supermarket with food court 8/8/2005

This is a local supermarket chain that has gained popularity in the Asian community as the supermarket is available in Boston, Quincy, Brighton, Malden... what so special in this one in Brighton is the Food court that is available with the market. They have range of restaurant from Chinese, to Japanese, to Korean. Their location is just next to the Green line B line T station at Pickard's Corner. What can you ask for more when you have a place that combine fast food with a supermarket to buy your grocery too?! more
