My perspective is different. I drove SuperShuttle vans for two years, both as a company employee and as a nominal ""franchisee"" when SuperShuttle's managment, in the right-to-work-state of Arizona, figured out how to screw its drivers out of as much a $6500 a month by declaring them independent contractors and tacking fees on everything the driver touched, wore or drove. In addition to usurious fees, SS required a sixty hour minimum work week under a 10 year contract but forbid drivers from showing the contract to an attorney prior to signng. SuperShuttle dispatchers also extorted money for the more lucrative runs. So, if you receive inferior service from SuperShuttle, it's because smart drivers left that miserable excuse for a company years ago. more

completely unreliable and poor customer service 1/5/2011

Missed Flight 1/1/2010

I took the earliest possible option they give for pick-up and after almost three hours picking up people, I arrived 5 minutes before take off ,so of course i missed my plane and had to pay $500 more for a flight next day, since I had a connection. The company would not take responsability more

They double charged me for the return trip and I cannot get a response out of them. I wish I saw all of the other negative reviews, they should have their licences revoked, buyer beware! more

Left, ignored, I was denyed my pick-up time existed 1/2/2009

Took a trip to Washington D.C. Arrived in Virgina, the super shuttle had received my reservation and after about an hour wait, I was driven to Washington D.C. with no problems.\r \r Come the day of departure, is when Super Shuttle shows me their true colors of horror. I stayed at the Hawthorne Suites. I made a reservation weeks in advance. Before departure, I was to be picked up 4 hours before my 7pm depature flight, for travel time and check in. \r 2:30pm. - called Super Shuttle customer service - no answer. Called repeatedly for the next half hour - no answer\r 3:00pm - I get an answer, I explain my situation and they tell me, "Let me check for your reservation, please hold". They hang up on me!\r 3:15pm - I'm getting very irritated now as anyone would be. I call back, no answer. I call repeatedly for the next 15 minutes, no answer.\r 3:30pm - I ask Hawthorne Suites workers if they have any other numbers for Super Shuttle, they look it up online for me, but they only had the same on more

Best Customer Service Ever! 11/14/2008

My Super Shuttle driver RULED! I was picked up in Oakland and headed to SFO. I went about my business and headed to the ticket counter only to discover that I had lost my cell phone. FRAK! I was screwed, I thought. I don't know anyone's number by heart...except my ex's. How was I going to check in with my neighbor who was watching my cat while I was away. Anyway, a nice young lad in line before me lent me his cell phone and I called the dispatcher over at Super Shuttle. They contacted the driver, but he couldn't locate the phone. I was resigned to have lost it forever. Then, I decided to call my phone to see if anyone picked it up. No answer. I was glum. more

SuperShuttle ditches you and lies 9/26/2008

We booked supershuttle for my sister from San Jose downtown to SFO. \r We waited 15 minutes before calling these stupid customer reps. We were told our shuttle was canceled. Neither had we shared our confirmation number with anyone nor did we cancel it.\r \r I bet these guys didn't get anyone to share the ride and conveniently canceled it. We had provided a phone number and we were never informed of the cancellation. \r \r Do note we did not cancel the shuttle and I am sure this was a big lie. The customer reps said our alternative was to take a regular cab and not miss our flight. I am going to accept that advice even if I am not late and not use supershuttle ever again.\r \r SJ to SFO - super shuttle means you'll miss your flight.\r \r You want to stay stranded, then super shuttle is the way to go. Reliable service 8/29/2008

My niece and I used SuperShuttle to and from the San Francisco airport. Our trip to our hotel was ok. The van was full and our hotel was the farthest away so we had to endure going through the downtown area to drop others off. We had a reservation on our return trip to the airport and they were right on time. The driver was nice. I see from other reviews that people have had bad luck with this shuttle service but I can say we had no problems. more

Do NOT use this company if you expect to get yourself to the airport/your flights on time! You can call ahead and even confirm that they will be at the location of pick up, and then call again to confirm and guess what???? They will not show up! You miss your flight, you have to stay another night in the hotel, and miss work the next day.\r THEY ARE AWFUL FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. SUCKY COMPANY. Pros: ABSOLUTELY NONE Cons: EVERYHING! rip off 5/8/2008

if you board without a reservation, you most likely will pay up the nose, as drivers rip the customers off. This is a hawkish company with no regard to customer service what so ever. Have switched to South and East Bay Airport Shuttle. So far so good. If they screw up, I will try the next one. Travel weekly, looking for consistant service. more

Another BAD Shuttle Service 10/21/2007

Reservation was originally made with Susan at M & M Shuttle Service. The pick up at 1 address in the East Bay for 8 people was beautiful - on time, pleasant and just what 8 family members needed for an long, international flight. The gentleman told us he was a contractor for M & M in the East Bay. The return shuttle trip was less than pleasant. - and I will tell EVERYONE I KNOW - NOT TO USE SUPER SHUTTLE - no training, no customer service at all! When I called the 800 # for M & M Shuttle and asked who I was speaking to...and I was told his name was Vince. I was told by Vince that M & M was bought out by Super Shuttle. I told Vince that I had a current reservation with M & M and said that I hoped that Super Shuttle was honoring those reservations and tried to give Vince the reservation # from M & M. Vince said they didn't have those reservations or #'s. I asked if they would still pick us up from our M&M reservation? Vince said yes. I told him that there were 8 people at SFO ready for pick up and to be brought to the East Bay (1 desti-nation for all 8 people). He said they could do that. I asked the cost he told me $85. I repeated back one location for $85. He said ""Yes, ma'am"". Upon arrival of Super Shuttle Van #641 on 10/16 at about 9 p.m., the driver smelled like a dead cigarette,, ir 4 and so did the van. He was mad because he ""only drives the peninsula"". So he flung our suitcases in the back of the van and headed the wrong way to the East Bay on Hwy 101. We turned him around.Got to the destination and he wanted $125. I told him that I confirmed with Vince several times tonight that the fare was $85. The driver continued to argue and yell at me and showed me a table on his clipboard with the rate of $125. I told him to speak to his dispatcher about some training of their people. He started yelling and screaming at me and I just gave him the $125 to get him out of here without incident. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE - DON'T USE SUPER SHUTTLE!!!!!!! more

Worst Customer Service EVER 3/2/2007

My driver was EARLY to pick me up and refused to wait for the scheduled time. I called Super Shuttle to see if they could send someone else and they said yes. 20 minutes later when no on showed, I called back. I was transferred to dispatch and was forced to speak with Victor. He was the dumbest most condescending man on the planet...which I would have told him except for the fact that I needed his help. After lecturing me for 15 minutes and telling me not only would I not be reimbursed for my pre-paid shuttle service, but they would not be liable if I missed my flight, Victor finally told me that they would not be sending another van my way. He kept trying to argue with me and keep me on the phone. I finally hung up with him screaming I had to get off the phone since I now had to call a cab, (which I could have done a 1/2 hour earlier). Thankfully I made my flight. At first customer service was helpful, and then nothing. I left messages every day with no follow up. When I finally spoke with a representative she said they'd sent me a letter denying my claim, (there was no letter). They claimed the driver waited for me, and I didn't show...which he didn't. I was outside waiting for the next shuttle 5 minutes after I called to say the driver had left me. They said they'd review my claim again and get back to me...they never did. All I asked was to be reimbursed for the ride I didn't get. They said no. That would have been the absolute LEAST they should have done. I will never use their service again. Not to mention, there are many more people with bad Super Shuttle stories, which I discovered when telling mine. I'm suprised they don't have more bad reviews. Super Shuttle is the worst Bay Area shuttle service available. 11/30/2006

Their level of customer service is pathetic and they do not hold to their reservations reliably.\r \r I recently flew in to at Oakland airport at 1:30AM. Previous to my flight, I had made a reservation with Super Shuttle to be picked up at 1:30AM and they had taken my credit card info to confirm my pickup. Upon arrival, I followed their instructions and called their phone number, providing the confirmation number. I told the Super Shuttle agent that I had to get my bags and that I would be there in 10-15 minutes for the shuttle ride. Upon getting my bags, I went to the shuttle pick up and was told that their shuttle had just left. I called Super Shuttle to understand when the next shuttle will arrive and they said the shuttle is done for the night and that they could not do anything for me. They were extremely rude and they did not care that they had left me stranded at the airport.\r \r Rob more

Super shuttle is great when you need to get picked up to go to the airport. They are always reliable, always on time. I would recommend anyone use super shuttle. more
