The Best Buffet Ever! 6/12/2006

This is not the typical Chinese Buffet!!!! It serves Chinese food, fresh sushi, a mongolian grill with a wide selection of ingredients and they cook in front of you, full salad bar, fresh fruit, soft ice cream, fish, and seafood! ALL for about $10. - with kid's at $1. per year they are (I think)!! It's more expensive on the weekends and for dinner - difference of a few dollars. If we're very hungry, and all crave different things, we go here - in fact we'll drive in from Lynnwood - now that we've moved!! There can be times when you may have to wait for a table to open up (weekend evenings) because it's so popular (by word of mouth), so we avoid those times...there's no good place to wait. It's WONDERFUL with babies of kids 'cause the selection guarantees you can find food they eat plus get them to try a bunch of other stuff you're not sure they'll eat. Then, you don't have to mess up your kitchen with an item they won't touch - it's fun! The quality of food is HIGH for a buffet!!! They are constantly making more and bringing it in - I think that they must make it all then and there. The only thing I don't like is that they have waitresses that come and serve you drinks then expect a tip! Sometimes we don't and sometimes we do 'cause we feel bad for them...I'd rather serve my own drink, thanks. Oh, and drinks are extra, and not included in the price of the food. more

Super China Buffet 9/2/2005

Chinese buffets don't appeal to everyone, but this one is a great deal. It is exceptionally inexpensive (I think it's around $9/person) and has a huge selection of decent Chinese food. They even have a Mongolian grill (choose your raw food and they grill it in front of you) and a noodle bar. Yum. They have some sushi for the brave but mostly I stick to the yummy Chinese dishes. They have 3-4 kinds of soup (hot & sour, etc.), all your favorite fried foods (egg rolls, shrimp, calamari, etc.). Pretty good. more

Hangover Heaven 8/17/2005

I like my happy hours on Fridays. This can (and does) lead to some rough Saturday mornings. Hunger that will not be satisfied by a grapefruit or a leftover chicken breast. I need massive amounts of salty, greasy food. I don't want to order from a menu or deal with a waitress. I want a coke and a pitcher of water, stat! Take the trip to Shoreline to the Super China Buffet on Aurora by that mall with the Sears. The food is shockingly good for a buffet. The restaurant is fairly nice and the lighting is just low enough that I can cruise in there with my baseball cap and unwashed hair. more
