Good food is hard to find in Knoxville, and because of this, people's minds have been warped into thinking that this is a really good restaurant. The Sunspot is average, at best. Yes, the food is eclectic and vegetarian-freindly (I'm vegetarian myself), and yay, the service isn't overbearingly upbeat. On many occasions (I kept giving it a chance because everyone raved about it), I found the food to be disappointing and bland, even if it is covered in some tangy sauce. The only good thing on the menu is the Queso Dip. Even the Sunday brunch did not live up to its expectations.
Pros: Queso Dip, food you've never had
Cons: bland food, overrated
