Sunshine is great! Everything I have eaten there (singapore noodles, tom kah kai soup, pad thai and more) has been really great. The jamaica juice and fried plantains are required for the full experience too. If I were homeless, I would beg for a dollar a day and then I would come here and get the dollar portion of the friend plantains and be a happy person. The owners probably spent about 5 seconds thinking about layout and decor and the rest of their time developing the recipes. I reccommend this place for a quick, satisfying meal. This place RULES!!! My husband chose this place due to the enormous thai crowd eating there. He figured it must be good. So we went. It was heaven! This place is family owned and operated and they are a very NICE family with much appreciation for their customers. No frills whatsoever. But the food here is absolutely incredible. Authentic, authentic, authentic. I have eaten in so many Thai restaurants and I always order the Tom-kha soup. I have never had it better or even as good as this place does it. Seriously brings tears to my eyes. And the pad-thai is perfect! The little old guy whose name I forget will tell you what is really good that day and help you make a good decision. This place is not for princesses or precious people. This place is for the Thai neighborhood folks that is why I LOVE it, I know I am getting the real deal here! I really miss this place. I used to live right down the street from it and ate there very often. The waiters are very sweet, and it is about as authentic a Thai restaurant as you can get with grandma chopping vegetables in front of the TV when it is slow. They are very accommodating. They will add or remove anything to any dish and make it any degree of spiciness you desire. The chicken laab salad is to die for. It realy is, and their wonton soup is so garlicky and flavorful I could die of bliss. I like them to add bok choy to mine, no fishballs. Prik king is so good, haricot vert cooked crisp in a curry sauce with whatever meat you choose. All of the tables have chiles in fish sauce brine, pickeled chiles, dried chiles, and chile paste to add to your dishes as you please. Never had a curry i didn't like there, and every single person I have ever taken there was astounded by the taste, the freshness, the large portions and the inexpensive prices. At first this restaurant may not catch your eye, but it never hurts to take chances. The first time I went I was skeptical, but when I tried the food it was great, the waiters are so kind, and you feel so cozy there, it's wonderful. You should really give it a try.
