Sunset Marine Resort

My husband and I stayed in the landing, which is right above the beach cabins, so we were not only close to the beach, but had a beautiful view off of the deck. Nice place for campfires, went clamming. Very peaceful and serene. Very clean, and were well taken care of the entire time there. We even got to bring our dog, which was great. My husband and I have stayed at Sunset Marine Resort numerous times. Each time we stay in a different cabin. The setting of cabins and access to the beach is perfect. We love the resort, and the vintage cabins. They were furnished with everything we needed, clean, and most impressive were books, games, etc. I have never found another place that would compare to the pros of this resort. Pros: Private, Peaceful, Quiet, enchanting, panoramic views Cons: none whatsoever more

My wife and I recently stayed at this resort for three days at the Boat House. While the location is beautiful and the lodging adequate, be aware that the property is up for sale and the owners and staff don't give a damn about the clients. The bath and bedrooms were dingy and musty. The kitchen lacked most of the basics one would expect, and what was there was in disarray. The web site promises clams delivered to your door, use of the kayaks, and firewood - none of which was available to us, despite promises from the staff and requests made verbally and in writing. In fact, the staff was no where to be found on two of the three days we stayed there. Basically, once you pay, they could care less about your happiness. We strongly recommend you go elsewhere.
