They need to refer their surgeries to Gulf Coast or Texas A M where the surgeon is board certified and has an anesthesiologist assisting in the surgery.

I love this place! 8/28/2013

Unsafe 7/25/2013

For the sake of your pets, please do NOT ever go here. We took our 3.5 year old Jack Russell Terrier there to be boarded. She was in perfect health, had been fixed, vaccinated, the works. The vet technician responsible for taking her out while she was boarded, carelessly took her off leash in an unsecured walking pen. Our dog got out, ran to the road, and was killed. We consider this to be negligence on part of the vet's office, and despite covering the costs of our dogs' final arrangements (as they should have), their insurance offered only $200 to cover the loss we felt after this tragedy. We had used this vet for four years, we expected better. We held this vet's office to a higher standard and were grossly disappointed. Nothing can bring back the loss of a pet, but there is nothing worse than losing a dog when you leave her in the care of a professional expected to protect her. Please do not take your pet to this vet's office, find a safe place for your loved one. more

Outstanding Care 10/4/2012

I took my three Mini schnauzers to these folks for 15 years. They took exceptional care of my MINI family throughout their lives and were there in their passing. The feeling of our loss was on their faces and in their hearts. I now have a standard schnauzer five month old and they continue to show their love and expertise in her care. Any of the now three DVM's that practice here are terrific and the staff is amazing! more

This is the place for you! 4/25/2011

My Boyfriend referred me here and i only have thing to say. DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE. They are the most sincere and professional people ever and i would never ever change vets. When my mom and I had to put down our almost 18 year old cat, we were heartbroken. But everyone at Suburbia was very supportive and they felt our pain. The way they treat their patients is absolutely amazing. It's almost like a second family. They care as much about your pet, then you do. They are always super friendly and a very clean facility. This place has been nothing but great to us and I'm going to be staying with this vet for a long time. more

great job 10/11/2010

Dr. McQuire was highly recommended to me by another client. After several visits to a surgery specialist that suggested a very drastic procedure instead of just removing a tumor from my dog's leg, I had a second opinion with Dr. Mcquire.\r Now three weeks later the tumor has been removal and all went very well. Dr. McQuire did a wonderful job. She is a great vet. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a good vet. more

The Cox Family 10/25/2009

Karma, my pit bull terrier ,we got from BARC had Kennel Cough. Finding out we went back to BARC and told them about it and they gave her meds( which didnt work). Since they have it where you foster first, then adopt. I was so scared that BARC would put her down if I gave her back. So, we went to Suburbia North. I had told the doctor we didnt have that kind of money at the time to help her, she gave us great advise. IT WORKED!!!YAY. Im glad to say Karma is doing great. My six other pets see them as well now! They have fixed my male rescued cat as well. Even called two days later to ask how he was. THEY ARE GREAT!! I will not use anyone else, unless its an emergency on the weekend. Pros: NICE people, WONDERFUL vet, Saved two of my pets Cons: Hours, I wish they were opened more.Ha. Really tho!! more

Missy's Mom 6/20/2009

I have taking my Missy to this clinic since she was a new puppy, she will be 10yrs old this Dec. and I have been very pleased with the level of care she has received. She was hit by a car in 2005 on a Saturday evening and was told by another vet at an emergency clinic, that she needed a very expensive operation.(she had a dislocated hip) I took her to Suburbia the following Monday and they totally took over her care and kept her for a week for me and administered the proper care and nursed back to health. Missy is as healthy and active as a new pup.I take her every year for her regular check up and have even boarded her there twice for several days. more

Wrong info from Vish P. 9/28/2008

I hate to be catty on the internet. I've worked for Suburbia North for 7 years and the man who stated that ..."they need to refer surgeries to Gulf Coast or Texas A&M is wrong!!! We have been verbally harassed on the phone for months by this client. We referred this client and his pet to Animal Surgery Center of Houston for surgery and unfortunately his dog died at home the day after surgery. We gave him many options of specialists where he could take his dog. We highly recommend the vets at Animal Surgery Centers, and Texas A&M and GCVS. We expressed our deepest sympathies that his beloved pet died and all we've gotten from him is threats that he is going to kill us and that we were the ones who killed his dog. I'm sorry but I felt compelled to tell the real story. If any client ever has a problem with something at our hospital they are always welcome to talk with me about it! ~Jen (Front office manager) more
