Finally- a stylist who listens!!! I am interviewing for a new job and wanted my hair to look professional without looking too conservative. My color is great and my cut is perfect!! AND- she actually taught me how to style my hair! I didn't know my hair even had options besides straight or up in a ponytail!! I've been getting a lot of compliments since getting my hair done! The negative reviews are off base.. 9/6/2008

I can't speak for the lady who got a ""bad haircut"" for her wedding, but I was getting MY hair cut during the incident described below. I was, at the time, 9 months pregnant myself. Pros: Stylists, price Cons: Parking more

This salon is my new home! 6/21/2008

I went for the first time about 2 months ago for a highlight and haircut with Trae. Last week, I set up an appointment for a touch up and I was going to try out their facials, but the owner told me they closed the spa side:( Atleast my Trae is still there!! Pros: Trae didn't rush me in and out of her chair. She took the time to do a great job! more

What a nice experience!! i hav just moved to nashville from LA--and its always a chore to find a place and a stylist that you really like. Well, now i have found that place and someone!!! Brandy was so easy t talk to and listened to what i wanted. I have t admit i was a little anxious but it didnt take any time at all to relax and realize that she was a professional that knows what she's doing. more

Awesome Experience 6/20/2008

I went to Studio 201 last week and got my hair colored and cut by Lindsay, and she did an excellent job!!! She listened to what I wanted for both services and the result was just what I asked for. I highly recommend Studio 201 to anyone needing or wanting a new change, they get the job done right the first time and do what you want them to do. The staff there were all very professional, and I felt right at home when I walked in. Thanks again for such a wonderful experience!!! I will definately be back!!!! Pros: Gret listening skills and beautiful scenery Cons: nothing more

Horible experience 5/3/2008

I went 2 weeks ago and got a facial. i scheduled an appointment for the specific facial as stated in the brochure. I went and got the 60 minute $75 facial and was slightly satisfied. After the session i went to the reception desk and told her I wanted to make an appointment for 2 weeks for the same facial. I went back today and nstead of the one i wanted, i got a 30 minute facial for $75. I complained about it not being what I wanted and even pointed it out in the brochure. The receptionist was arguing with me and saying I must have told her the wrong thing when I initially made the appoinment. I was not going to keep arguing with her. I am not an idiot, I know what I asked for. Instead of making it right she argued with me and was trying to make excuses. I will not go back and I will tell everyone I know that it is a very unorganized place. Small business make it because of word of mouth, u need to try to keep your customers happy and if u make a mistake, make it right and dont argue. I am highly irritated and very mad that I had to pay for something I did not want. Do not go there of if u do beware. more

Horrible haircut for too much money! 4/30/2008

So, I thought I'd give this place a shot since the reviews were so great. From the moment I walked in,I did not have a good feeling. They looked scared to see me. The younger woman did a great job on the older woman she was working on,but my stylist did not listen. I have longer hair and wanted to keep it that way since my wedding is in two months and I need longer hair for the wedding updo I want. I showed her pictures,I explained in detail what I wanted..which was just a trim!Well,she took my hair above my shoulders and gave me botched bangs that actually start at the back of my head(but only on one side) I just wanted a trim!!! Just a centimeter off! Now it's uneven,layered unevenly and too short to have it the way I want it for my wedding. I'm not the type of person to say I don't like it,but I should have. She noticed it was horrible,too and told me that I'd just get used to it! And I didn't even get fifteen percent off as a new client! So sad :( . $40 for a horrible haircut is not worth it. Beware!!! Two thumbs up for Studio 201 1/8/2008

I have been to Studio 201 twice. Brandy has cut my hair both times. I have been extremely pleased with the entire experience both times. My hair is extremely thick and difficult to cut.... especially in the short cuts that I often desire. The receptionist spent a shocking amount of time on the phone with me during my first call to Studio 201; she listened to my concerns and told me about the salon and the stylists there. Brandy took her time with my cut and the massive amount of thinning that my hair requires. My cut was not to my total satisfaction the second visit as a result of my lack of specifications (prior to) and inspection (after). Once I got home and realized that I wasn't totally happy with my new do I called to see about getting it fixed. They got my right back in and Brandy worked her magic, sending me away happy as could be. These ladies are great, I would recommend them to anyone!! more

I LOVE MY NEW LOOK! 1/5/2008

My husband and I just moved here and of course one of my worries was to find a new salon. Since I'm new I did a search for a salon. Based on the reviews I decided to give them a shot. Receptionist was so helpful when I called and even gave me directions. I walked in and I felt right at home. They were quick to offer me soda/water, a cozy spot to wait and a nice chat with the owner. Paty was my stylist and did such a wonderful job! My color turned out beautiful as well as my new cut. When I went back to work I received so many compliments on my new look and the hubby liked it too! Thank you, I'll see you back in six weeks! Pros: Friendly people, Great Results, Nice artwork more

Horrific Customer Service 12/21/2007

My wife went to this salon, since it's close to our home, and the service was horrible. Paty, not sure how to spell this individual's name, was the stylist with absolutely no style or manners. Good price, great service and convenient location. 8/23/2007

I needed to color my roots fast and as usual waited to the last minute. Called them on a Saturday and they not only got me an appointment. that day but also gave me a 1st time customer discount. I love the color/cut and the stylist was professional and personable. Everyone was so friendly I felt I had known them for quite a while by the time I left The owner was there and she is a sweetie pie. I will definitely go back. more

Stylist recommendations at Studio 201 7/8/2007

I was a client of Lindsey's but understand she has left 201. I like the salon so am willing to still stick with it. Can anyone out there recommend another female stylist at 201 that is good with men's haircuts? 'At the risk of sounding like a typical male pig, I will also add the following preference - I prefer a stylist that looks hot in addition to having the skill to give a great haircut. :) more

I'm shocked that someone would have anything bad to say about Studio 201:( I've been to the salon on plenty different occassions to get my hair done, buy hair stuff, and to get my much needed massages, and I have always been received with an upbeat attitude! Impressive work & attitude 6/28/2007

The stylist I used to go to is no longer there, but I decided to give it a shot with one of their new girls. I was actually more impressed with the new stylist! Her name is Trae, she's a stylist from the LA area, and really knew what she was doing. I went in with a picture of a cut and color I wanted and she adjusted the look to accent my features and skin tone! I'm used to people just doing what I ask, not really making the effort to consider that a color and certain cut might not be suitable for my face shape and coloring. She exhibited great knowledge and confidence in the consultation and knew exactly how to get her results! I'm coming back!!! I love my hair:) more

Rude on the phone 6/27/2007

I recently called to make an appointement with my stylist (who is no longer there), and whoever answered the phone was so rude to me, I will not be back. I might have considered sticking with Studio 201, but not after this. I'll take my business elsewhere. That is no way to treat people, bad day or not - there is something to be said about customer service these days, and it was most definitely lacking. I wouldn't be surprised if, without an attitude adjustment, Studio 201 doesn't make it very much longer. How sad. Cons: Understaffed, no parking more

I had tried Studio 201 several months ago and was less than impressed. I went back last week and totally different story. The owner has done an outstanding job remodeling the place - very cool decor and they even have a big plasma TV with comfortable seating in the waiting area. Another happy client 5/14/2007

I found Studio 201 and Lindsey on citysearch, and was very pleased with my hi-lites. Everyone who has seen my hair has complimented on what a perfect shade of blond they are. I expected them to turn brassy after a few washes, but the color has stayed fresh. This is the best my hair has ever looked. I am growing out my hair and didn't need a cut, but when I do, I will definately be returning to Lindsey! Pros: Beautiful hi-lites, skilled staff, reasonable prices more
