WE LOVE IT! 7/22/2006

The Strong Museum is the best place to go for a day of fun! the kids never get bored! As a matter of fact, they often can't do every thing there is to do in one day so we end up going back for more. And the best part of it for me as the parent is they are learning as they are playing! more

Love this Place :) 4/4/2006

This museum has earned it's status as one of the best kid's museum. They have a friendly and helpful staff, a library, and many activities for a large age range. It is often hard to find a place where my 2 year old AND 8 year old can be entertained simultaniously. They are expanding and we cannot wait to come see what's new when they are done. If you visit (or even live in) the Rochester area and have kids, come visit the Strong Museum...you won't regret it. more

Wonderful museum 3/28/2006

I love this museum. I have taken my daughter here at least two times a year for the last couple of years. Its a bit of a drive from Dansville but well worth it. It is geared more to younger kids- there are so many activities for the kids to do--- and most of them are great learning activities. It is truly a fun- exciting experience for the whole family. My daughter loves the place also. Great for groups also. Went with girl scouts a couple of times- more

Great Museum 9/27/2005

This is a great museum specially for smaller kids. They have a lot of hands on stuff that will keep the kids occupied and also learning at the same time. They have all different themes throughout the year. I had a great time when I went and I'm an adult. more

Top 10 Museum 8/31/2005

The Strong Museum was rated one of the top 10 museums in the US by Parents magazine. It is a rating that is well-deserved. This is a magical family experience with special moments beginning from the moment you walk in the door. Not even a grown-up can resist a ride on the carousel! The ever-changing exhibits and the hands-on learning make for a fun day all around. The cost of a membership is worth every penny, if only to have access to the members-only events. Weekends can be packed and school holidays are a nightmare. The best days to go are weekdays. They have play classes for toddlers, birthday parties, special theme events (truck and bus day is a big hit in our family!) and a gift shop full of off-the-beaten-path treasures. The new addition will be amazing, complete with a butterfly conservatory! Margaret Woodbury Strong must be smiling down on her legacy! more

The best kids museum around - plan at least a day! 8/18/2005

This is the best kids museum around with plenty to do for ages 1-12. There are many displays where kids can try out jobs such as cook, mailman, postal worker, etc. There is a large Clifford display with climbing and slides, and a train for the little ones to ride. There is even an arts and crafts center, and several restaurants as well as a toy museum. We loved the Assembly line where our group tested to see how many cars we could build in a minute, and the kids loved Sesame Street complete with characters, a playground, and a mini movie theater. But the best attraction has to be the "real" Wegmans, where kids can shop, checkout, and get a real receipt (without actually paying), and then be the cashier and scan and cash out the other customers, or restock the shelves with the real products. Great fun for kids, and plenty to do to last all day. more

Fun, Fun, Fun 8/13/2005

This museum is so kid friendly!! Not only did it have interesting and educational aspects, but it also was very entertaining and captivating for the kids. And I didn't mind going either. There are great exhibits for both kids and grown-ups alike. Definitely a must-do on a rainy afternoon. more

Caution! Brain expansion in progress! 8/5/2005

This is one of the best children's museum I have ever been to. Simply stated. They have great exhibits, the staff is wonderful and they know how to help you watch your children to make sure your visit is uneventful and educational. I recently particpated in a study at the museum and got a sneak peak on the what the expansion is going to look like. Is it possible to make a place even better when you think it is already awsome? The storybook land exhibit is going to knock socks off of everyone who sees it. They also have a "butterfly pod" exhibit which will give kids a close up at one of my favorite insects. Buy the membership. Go 3 times. It's paid for. Your kids will love it and you'll find yourself having a good time as well. more

Best place for children 2 and up 8/3/2005

This is one of the best places for children 2 and up. It by far the best children's museums I have ever been to. They offer a lot of interactive things for children of all ages. They have a huge sandbox full of pellets instead of sand, an interactive grocery store, Sesame Street, a little library and themed exhibits. It is very reasonably priced and has a great Diner type restaurant attached. Parking is ample and it is easy to get to off the expressway. It does get busy on the weekends. A lot of things for the kids to do. They also offer annual memberships. more

Strong Museum 8/2/2005

Strong Museum is a great place for kids. And for a large age range as well. They have areas for little ones that are just learning to crawl or walk, and stuff that would keep pre-teens interested for hours – well at least half an hour... It is very educational, and there is a ton of things for kids to do. They have a carousel, a train, a Wegmans store for the kids to shop at, and they have feature areas that change 2-3 times per year. My favorite area is the Seseme Street area, where your child can actually be on TV with Elmo, Zoe or The Count. And make sure you bring a VHS tape, and you can bring the memory home!! more

Strong Museum-Great for kids! 7/31/2005

If you are looking for a great place to take your kids when they are bored, the Strong Museum is the place to go! It is very educational, and there is a variety of things for the kids to do. They have a train the kids can ride, a Wegmans store for the kids to shop at, and they have feature areas that change 2-3 times per year. They have had a Clifford area and a Mr. Roger's Neighborhood area to name a few. My children have a blast there, and we have a membership since we go often. more
