Would give them no stars if the site allowed - disorganized, dishonest, self serving, and discriminatory. They might be in a nice neighborhood and put on a good show but this company will turn you out if it serves their best interest. Poor management, lies, half truths, and yes, discrimination against certain protected classes. Save your money and save your time and do not work with these individuals. more

AVOID Street and Company!! 3/25/2009

I too have had an atrocious experience renting from this company. They don't give a hoot about their tenants and they don't give a damn about problems in their buildings. Frequently there has been no hot water, no heat, no electricity and the manager, Brooks Porter, is an absolute buffoon. And a lazy one at that! RS more

Bad Experience!! 10/11/2007

Although they appear nice upon meeting them, I wouldn't advise getting involved with this letting agency/management company. They are extremely disorganized and unprofessional in the way they treat their tenants. Their rental manager, on two occasions, attempted to overcharge me and fabricate stories about past rental disbursements. I'm not sure what they have been able to accomplish in the past but I found them very untrustworthy and would not use them again. Thankfully I moved and only had to endure their shady behavior for one year. more

In this market, you've got to be careful 8/18/2005

The real estate market in Boston is delusional right now, despite signs of economic softening. I had some experience with this agency. It's hard to tell whether it was this agency in particular or the market as a whole. Things are crazy, and sellers are unreliable. So I don't want to denigrate this place -- some of the agents seemed friendly. They specialize in Beacon Hill, which is small enough so everyone knows everybody. I would seriouisly recommend trying to bargain, and keeping your head screwed on straight throughout the process. more

Great Agent, nice places for rent 8/16/2005

Kenneth MacRae showed me several places for rent, but he also gave me a history tour of the area as well. He was very friendly and made every effort to find an apartment that fit within my budget, time constraints and neighborhood areas. In the end I ended up taking a place I had seen with another agent, because I had seen it with her first. I highly recommend Kenneth MacRae as an agent. more
