Fabric Hunter from Murfreesboro 3/23/2012

I think this is a fabulous place to shop. If you need help and if you haven't been asked already, all the ladies at the shop are very happy to help you find the fabric you are looking for or to carry it up front to be cut, etc. This place is a paradise to me. I either buy online or I go to Stitcher's Paradise. The owner is always very friendly. I have met some snobbish quilters in my time but you won't find anyone like that working there. Absolutely fabulous place expecially for travelers. One stop for all!! more

re. review from kikfan 12/28/2011

Other: This is in regards to kikfan that wroten a review here.. if you are so unhappy , just don't go there and let others decide if they like it or not. You seem to be a JoAnn customer, not a stitchers garden patron. I have not found any seconds there and the prices , compared to other quiltstores are lower..please make sure you don't unduely crititze a great place to find fabric. And do check your own behavior before complaining about someone who works .. more

Good and bad 9/30/2011

I have been in this store alot over the years,I go in with what I have in mind and totally get side tracked. Its like a fabric warehouse bolts of fabric all over the place in the floor i've even tripped over them,Some fabrics are just hidden behind stacks of others.I know alot of this fabric has to be dry rotted. The reviews about the owner are pretty much true she is not friendly and dont ask if she has a sale or you'll get you head bit off.Now for the good part if you cant find what your looking for any place else i'd say you can here,The staff does a pretty good job and the owner does help but not in a good business way,I usually leave without buying anything it's just to much for my mind to handle. All i can say is give it a try,But for me i'd rather go some place else and pay the same price and be treated nice and asked to come back. more

I've been following this shop since it's days in Carter's Court. Each time it changes location I think, "this time it will be organized and I can find what I need. WRONG! There's lots of fabric, for sure, but the way it is piled around - you couldn't find your own mother. Items on sale - NEVER! more

Sticher's Garden 9/19/2005

A fairly large store, but very cluttered. There are hundreds of bolts of fabric throughout the store, and shelves upon shelves of books, patterns, and notions. The organization is haphazard, finding a particular item may prove difficult. There is a very large selection of items, it's really an artist's dream but you could spend all day long just trying to find something. Great for hard to find items but be prepared to spend the better part of the day attempting to locate things. more

Large fabric store 8/4/2005

There are so many reams of fabric in this store, they are stacked to the ceiling and falling over. Even though this place is a bit cluttered, the selection is unbelievable. They even sell cute vintage fabrics that you can't find anywhere else--they are perfect for making quilts with. You can also get sewing notions and idea books here. The staff is great. more
