My friends and I arrived at Stevies, after an hour and a half drive, with high expectations, only to leave HIGHLY disappointed. I have never been to a restaurant where they charge patrons to eat, we paid a $7 cover charge, to receive sub-standard service, horrible tasting overpriced food, and dated entertainment. We were left to find our own seating accommodations. Our table was bare, having no silverware, when we did get the paper cut out table setting, our silverware was dirty. Our waitress showed up approximately 30 minutes after we were seated to take our order, and then stopped to have, what appeared to be a personal 5 minute conversation with a guy at the bar, before placing our order. We were given stale French bread and unfiltered tap water to tide us over until our food arrived. When our food finally arrived (30 minutes later) the meat was over seasoned, the canned vegetables were under seasoned, and the cornbread was reminiscent of Jiffy from the box. Our waitress, if you could call her that, failed to respond to our requests, so we tried to flag another waitress and she responded with a very nasty inappropriate attitude. The music was so loud we had to yell at each other in order to be heard, and often times the yelling was fruitless, as we were still unable to hear. After requesting the check, we had to sacrifice another 25-30 minutes of our lives waiting for our waitress to respond. After paying our tab, we were forced to wait once again, for the valet. Stevie only had one valet employed to retrieve cars, thus we had to stand in line in the freezing cold from 12:00am to 12:35 am, waiting for our car (clearly, they need to find this poor valet more help). In short, this is a horrible substandard establishment, which does not place the customer's needs or satisfaction as a priority. Thus, if you care about quality food and service, AVOID Stevie?s, instead, try Coco Palms, Cafe Tu Tu Tango, City Grill, or Derrick?s Jamaican Cuisine, to name a few.
Cons: Service, food quality, ambience, entertainment.
