I had a recent problem with my transmission in my 2009 Dodge Journey. After dropping it off the first time, it took a week to repair. There was no sense of urgency, and I had to call them several times and practically pry information out of them concerning the progress of the repair.
After I picked it up, I drove it for less than an hour before the problem happened again, only this time it was worse. I had to drop it off again. That was three weeks ago. The last time I talked to Paul in the service department, I had to call him after 10 days of zero communication. He told me the car would be ready early this week . It is Thursday evening and I still have not heard from him.
I plan on calling him tomorrow morning. If my car is ready, I will definitely be taking it on a very long test drive before handing over the keys to my rental car.
My advice: Go somewhere else for your transmission work.
